Missed a couple of CTCs lately. This one fits much better in the sparse training I've been doing since my physio gave the green light.
I can be content with 6k in 24:46 for now. Will try to get that under 24 min again before the end of the year.

A bit late but after 3 weeks with no Erg due to injury and vacation I had to build up again.
CTC done IRL to come.

Heck of a row after 3 weeks off Ralf! =D>

Just noticed I was .4 seconds behind Morten. 21:50.5 vs. 21:50.2. No way I'm going again. [-X OK with boat 2. 8)

Thanks!
It was: 3 weeks off + 3 weeks build up.
After the 3 weeks off, rowing for an hour was really painful, so I needed a bit to get going again.

Had another go tonight and after 4 bailed rows at various distances over the last week I finally finished one, albeit with two slow downs to ensure I got to the end. Unfortunately the "slow downs" were sufficient to mean Ian Bee is still ahead of me by about 1s as I only managed 23:41.4 this time (23:33.3 is my best this month).

Might have one last try on Saturday - but I think you're safe to be honest Ian

Given recent 5km form, I wouldn't bet against that.

That was in a race with a lot of distraction. I'm lacking in anything like mental fortitude at the moment.

It has helped in the past to be honest but it's such a hassle to set up...

I see we have seven boats afloat right now, a decent result I think.

Tried my best to beat Ian but my stamina has deserted me. 3 significant slow downs after about the first 3.5~4km (where it was going ok-ish) and nearly threw in the towel as I knew it wouldn't happen but kept going to at least get a time in - which was a slight improvement on Thursday (24:41.4) to 23:39.2.

I'm kind of glad that next month is sprinty again as it'll be over fairly quickly

Edit: and yet I managed a 21:07.8 5k cool down with a steady start and neg splits with the last 1k at 2:02 (25spm) :( :(

Work to do to get back to more erging, but happier with less fly and die on attempt #2.

I just managed to sneak across the line before the cut off and crawled in to Boat V.

Sorry I haven't been around much folks. Work is taking up a lot of time (including travel), rugby referee fitness training has been quite intense during the summer and now the season has started. No excuse to have been on the erg so little, but still makes it harder. Plus I missed the Fall Challenge cut off #-o
