Very Many Happy Returns Of Yesterday, Young Mr. Alan.
My dad would have been 99 on the 6th - you still have a long, long, long long, long long, long, long, way to go yet.

You're the first Free Spirit I met in the flesh Alan. So that makes you my oldest rowing friend.

Actually, now that I think of it, I was a guest of wolfie at BRIC 2008, so I guess I met him the day before I met you. I also met a couple of teammates at IIRC - Mike Channin and John Glynn. Memory is getting faulty in my old agestrider77 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2017 4:00 pmPaul, I never realised that, it must have been BIRC 2008 then one of the few times I have managed to beat you and the only time I went under 7 mins for 2k in a compPaul Victory wrote:- You're the first Free Spirit I met in the flesh Alan. Anyway, you are definitely the oldest of that group as well as being slightly older than me, so I stand over the use of the term old.

Re: Happy Birthday Strider!
Now that I think of it, the use of the word old to describe someone as fit as you in totally inappropriate, Alan. So, happy birthday young man!
