Well done, Dan! =D>
I am impressed with how close your reps were considering the rest periods were so short and this was an 'all out' attempt!
Cheers,

Re: The February CTC
Wow Dan, you are light years ahead of me!
I did an attempt today, but kept the rate down to 24 SPM. I haven't had much time on the erg lately due to travel, and I've nothing no sprinting since before my knee surgery. You might say I had low expectations.
I think I can probably pull the pace down by a couple seconds or so without a rate restriction, but I feel like a shadow of my former self.

Re: The February CTC
Thanks Zoot and Greg.
Zoot I'm a "bit" OCD so I break rows up into sections and do a lot of counting. That seems to help get me through the and keep things pretty consistent pace wise. This one (based on 30spm) was 3 blocks of 15.
Greg I have definitely "snuck" back in to pretty good rowing shape. I'm in better overall shape now than I was when I did all my PB's but I just don't have the desire to repeatedly wreck myself on the rower. Haven't done an all out TT in almost a year and a half and have no desire to so at this point. Best part is now I'm ok with that where in the past I felt the need to do one every week.
After having a bit of a breakdown due the aformentioned overreaching/overtraining I vowed to be much more mindful as well as introduce other things in to my exercise regimen. For about a year now I've been doing quite a bit of Crossfit, gymnastics and stretching work which really seems to be helping my overall wellness. My kids really get a kick out of me learning to do handstands.

Re: The February CTC
Well done Joe! That's a huge improvement and way ahead of anything I could do right now.
The lovely Jennifer kept her promise and did the CTC today. So we now have five boats floating. Need 2 more ladies plus 1 other rower to float another two boats.

If it wasn't for the friendly competition from Tako, I would have HD after 6 reps. Happy to see it through with a slight improvement of 34m (1:44.9 to 1:44.1)

It's because Barbara, you are rather good at it.CamiCrew wrote:Ugggghhhhhhh horrible.

Rumour has it that Mb has ordered Missy Mojo to pack her suitcase and return to where she belongs. It's costing him a fortune in tissues and more importantly, he's absolutely fed up of having his re - writes ' blue pencilled '.CamiCrew wrote:{waiting for mojo to return}
And I'm missing you.
Barbara, I've had an idea that might encourage your mojo to hurry back ...
As it's the start of the March Mud Madness today, how about setting yourself a small challenge - after all, it is rumoured that you can be very determined when it comes to challenges.
The slightly diluted Muddy Water Madness challenge, only requires you to row 2500m ( more if you wish of course ) for 12 days of March - this month's IRL would of course count as 4 of those days.
Speed, splits etc are not important, the aim only, is to try and encourage the Hoyt Hindquarters to have contact with the erg again.
You never know, it might even encourage young Mr V to shake his tail feathers as well, especially as it's also rumoured that he's supposed to love a challenge ... and as his physiotherapist said that it was okay for him to partake in some sensible rowing ... then he might surprise us all ... or not ...

I went again yesterday. Improved to 1:44.2 (4319m). After I finished, I noticed that this put me 3 meters behind Felton. ugh.
