Thank you for your well wishes - they are much appreciated.
A lady came to the house tonight for some dress alterations (Janet's other speciality) and it turns out a friend of hers was one of those killed and the lady's daughter also injured. 22 killed and 59 injured out of a million and a half population may not seem very many but the ripples of that travel a long long way through friends, relationships and family - and they will last a long time. That said, Manchester suffered a huge bomb blast in 1996 and although no one was hurt that time, the city centre was devastated. Since then it has recovered and grown into being a vibrant and lively city and well worth a visit with loads to do and see...

I am saddened and sick to my stomach from this senseless tragedy in Manchester. My heart goes out the families and friends who have suffered from this terrible act. I especially feel the tragedy since I was just in Manchester a few weeks ago.
