400m / 1:19.7 / 1:38.8 / 38spm
300m / 0:58.4 / 1:37.3 / 39spm
200m / 0:38.2 / 1:35.5 / 45spm
100m / 0:19.0 / 1:35.0 / 50spm

ctc score: 6:26.7

Amazing how 100m can hurt! I did this ctc in one session with long enough rest periods to let the flywheel come to a complete standstill. I might try one or anther distance again before month's end, just not sure which has the most potential to improve?
I did the same as you Peter, but I did it at the beginning of the month. Then I chipped away at the individual distances throughout the month. I improved each time twice, but it made less than 10 seconds difference to my overall score, so not really sure it was worth the effort. But it was fun (kind of  ).

Next month will be an entirely different kind of challenge.

Great job to all & sorry about the news RogerB.

100 pace 1:41.0
200 pace 1:42.5
300 pace 1:45.8
400 pace 1:47.6

The calculator page won't come up so the math was perplexing but looks like 6:56.9.

Cheers

Well done Barbara. =D> =D> =D> We now have 7 boats floating, so we've had lots of late entries. Well done to everyone who took part.

Wasn't intending to come back to this CTC but time constraints and slightly less sore back meant I could give it another chance. Think I did it 100-200-300-400 last time so decided to reverse that. Managed to improve the 400 to 1:10.0 (1:27.5) but failed on the 300 and didn't have time for the 200 or 100. Moved up one place in the boat and happy to leave these sprints very far behind.

Haven't sprinted much but this felt ok. Did the first 3 yesterday and will be doing the 400 shortly so I'll update post and log my time.

Calculator site seems to be down so I may have to brush up on my math skills. :D

100: 15.8 - 1:19.0
200: 31.5 - 1:18.7
300: 47.5 - 1:19.1
400: TBD

Very impressive times Dan. =D> =D> =D> Looks like a sub 5:20 is on the cards.

Elbow giving me problems still (thought it had got better but I banged it again  ) so a very weak effort this month, but it did get the last boat floated so at least I achieved something.

Stan, you'll probably disagree with this but your effort was not a weak one, it was a brave one. =D> I do hope that you haven't set your elbow back?

Again, everyone, lots of well deserved admiration. =D> =D> =D>

Updated with the 400.

100: 15.8 - 1:19.0
200: 31.5 - 1:18.7
300: 47.5 - 1:19.1
400: 1:06.5 - 1:23.1

Total: 5:19.9

Forgot to up DF. Used 175 yesterday and 130 today. Realized soon after I started when I couldn't pull any sub 1:20's. Short on time and even shorter on energy so went with it. No complaints. May introduce some sprint training as I seem to still have a bit left.

Thanks Jill. Compared to a few days ago it feels better. I have full range of movement again but its very tender. I am guessing another week before I can start back with confidence, but whatever it takes. Made too many mistakes with coming back too early and making things worse, so I am being ultra cautious.

Good to see you back rowing Stan :fswink:

I had my second go last night. As I was a bit disappointed with my first result of 6:26.7 I decided to change quite a few things this time:

- drag factor up to 130 vs. 115
- foot plate up by one hole
- row it as 100/200/300/400 vs. 400/300/200/100
- fix the erg so it won't move around the room

Well, it helped:

100m / 0:18.5 / 1:32.5 / 49spm
200m / 0:36.6 / 1:31.5 / 49spm
300m / 0:56.5 / 1:34.1 / 41spm
400m / 1:18.7 / 1:38.3 / 36spm (had to do this one twice as I handled down in my first try  )

ctc score: 6:16.4

Completely knackered after the final 400m but happy with an improvement of 10.3 seconds.
