I'd love to say the site refresh was to celebrate but sheer coincidence.
Happy Birthday to us!

Fantastic! Really pleased to have been part of it for the past few years.
It's not how far you go... It's how go you far.

I usually don't do birthday congratulations on websites, but I'll make an exception.
My thanks to those who founded Free Spirits, who kept it going, who made and then managed this great website, and to all who contributed to Free Spirits to be this friendly, motivating and positive community!

Happy Birthday dear Free Spirits.
The Spirit of The Meterboard is here - he’s standing on a box and wearing his medals - obviously has something very important to say …
I have Jill - it’s ‘ Special Mentions ‘ :
Thomas - he’s come to my rescue quite a few times in the last year and also steered me through some tricky situations. =D>
David ( Plummy ) - for looking after the Million Metre Stars. =D>
Paul - for keeping an ‘ Eagle Eye ‘ on the Season’s Metres. =D>
David - for keeping everyone up to date with regular, at a glance information on new and returning members. =D>
Roger - for his competition tables and meticulous record of statistics. =D>
The threads - many of them a precious archive of the club's history. =D>
Yourselves, and your varied and wonderful contributions. Without you, I couldn't ( or is it wouldn't ) exist … =D>

I know that I'm infallible, but occasionally I make mistakes ...
And ... Thank you Stan for all your stirling work captaining the Team Virtual Challenges. =D>
My brain is rather ancient and that must be my excuse but if I have inadvertently forgotten anyone else, then please form an orderly queue.

Happy Birthday to us.
I know I haven't been as active in the last 18 months as previously, but I suspect if it were not for Free Spirits I may well have broken away entirely. As it is, its comeback time. My times are currently far worse than they were 10 years ago, but hopefully the times will come down quickly and I can get back to something approaching semi decent!

Congratulations to ourselves.
I am very happy to have found this team and grateful for the people who established and nurtured it in its beginnings. When I joined this was already an established community and I could tap straight into all the nice encouragement and exchanges of wisdom (and silliness) going on here.
So, a toast to the founding Spirits!
