2015 Weight Loss Thread
I think it's probably no harm to open a new thread. For me, it's more a question of weight control rather than any major weight loss, but I would like to get below 95 kg and stay there. My lowest weight this millenium is 92kg, so that would be a nice target to reach, but I think my 'natural' weight is probably a kg or two more than that.
I'm not planning to post every week as it makes for a very long thread, but will weigh in regularly and will post at least once a month, more frequently if things are going pear shaped. My first weigh in will be this weekend and I'm hoping I can start the year off on a positive note.

OK. First weigh in of 2015. Managed to lose some of the weight I put on over Christmas. Target is to be sub 95 by end of January.

Chris, glad that you had a good Christmas - Cadbury's Roses 2 - Chris 1 = minimum damage. =D>Duckrunner wrote:Onwards and downwards I am looking for 95 kgs as the next target. Wise words about looking after our bodies - I certainly don't want to end up with a ' virtual ' one just yet.
That's a good start Paul - you should achieve your 95kg target by the end of this month. =D>Paul Victory wrote:OK. First weigh in of 2015. Managed to lose some of the weight I put on over Christmas. Target is to be sub 95 by end of January.

I've written off December as far as dieting goes - I just needed a break from things but I'm back on track now and hope to lose 7 pounds or about 3kgs in the next few weeks. [-o< No deadline though.
What I really, really hope is that you will all continue to lose weight or hold steady a weight that you are happy with. You've all put in so much effort so far... =D>
Best wishes for 2015.

Re: 2015 Weight Loss Thread
Hi folks, long story for me but after being pretty much at peak fitness intill 2011 I have splipped quite a bit.
I hit 100kg at the end of last year, so now I'm doing something about it.
I'm down to 97.5 already and will track for a month or two. My aim is 14 1/2 stone in old money, so about another 10lbs to go.

Hello Steve - you've done well to have lost 5 lbs already. =D> It's sensible of you also to decide to do something about your weight now - having to lose just 1 stone is a lot less daunting than having to lose 3 or 4.Wolfmiester wrote:I'm down to 97.5 already and will track for a month or two. Alan - We shall have to start calling you ' Mr. Goody Two Shoes ' for not putting on any weight over Christmas. Good stuff really. =D>
Onwards and upwards towards your 2015 weight loss goal, we'll be cheering you on.
On a more sombre note, ' Miss Goody Two Shoes ' has done a runner. When the prison guard checked her cell yesterday, all he found was a DVD of The Shawshank Redemption, a spoon, and on the wall, a larger poster of Metallica. Oh dear...

Re: 2015 Weight Loss Thread
Well done on getting below 100 kg Chris. For me, that was a huge psychological (and physical) landmark last year and one of my key long term objectives is to make sure I stay below three figures. I managed to make some further progress this week towards my immediate goal of 95 kg.

Re: 2015 Weight Loss Thread
Thanks Paul, yes it is the same for me. I should have achieved it by the end of November but i am afraid Christmas luxuries at work through December put paid to my target. I have a new energy to get to 95kgs and then re-evalute. Well done on maintaining the weight lossPaul Victory wrote:Well done on getting below 100 kg Chris. We must have some treats even when we're dieting - the important thing to remember ( and you do =D> ) is that they are only treats...
I'm going to weigh myself at the end of this month.
Onwards and upwards and of course downwards.

It's really good to see that result Paul. =D>Paul Victory wrote:Managed to reach my target weight of sub 95kg this week. Now I just need to figure out how to stay there.
Now, as for staying there... I know you said before that with you, it's all or nothing but could I suggest again that you try offsetting any indulgent days with a few lighter ones? Just as an experiment. The odd indulgent day here or there shouldn't hurt, especially with the amount of exercise that you take. =D>
Rodger wrote:If you continue like this, I hope you don't hate clothes shopping too much.
Rodger, I don't know if Paul hates clothes shopping now but I certainly don't. Not only is there a lot less of me but Richard's bank balance as well.

That sounds nasty. I had a lot of problems a couple of years back with my supraspinatus (part of the rotator cuff). You should probably go and get it checked out.Duckrunner wrote:I cannot show i have developed a pain behing my left shoulder and its reventing me from rowing

Alan. Mmm " with what I have planned this week " sounds a bit worrying. Does that mean something like a FM coming up... ? Re: 2015 Weight Loss Thread
Thanks Jill
Good luck with the tapering and if it was me I would not row again after today before the big day-you are READY
Not really Paul, I find that if I am rowing using my hips correctly I get no issues with my back, thanks for the concern though matePaul Victory wrote:-
That must be very tough on your back. I think I would get injured if I did intervals every day for a week (says he before going off to do 3x 500m as part of his taper for this week's IIRC ).
