I am (of course) still updating this:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... MTWc#gid=4

- 36 FS participated in June (same as in May).
- 2 members did their first 2014 CTC: Den-j and Andrew Richards.
- Liefcat and thornmaster still leading the way ex aequo.
- 2 of the higher placed FS didn't enter a time in May and subsequently dropped out of the Leaderboard top 10.
- Paul Victory dropped a spot.

Thanks for the update Roger and for all the work you do maintaining this.

Impressed with the spreadsheet Rodger. I don't like the idea there is a gap for me in June!!
I did hardly any rowing last month. I picked up a 'niggle' in my knee after the 100km charity bike event, so decided to rest up. I did attempt the 10k for June CTC, but I knew I couldn't carry on. Rest is best I guess. I was chuffed though as I raised almost £900. Thanks you again to those you sponsored me.

I can't get to the link.
I know it's probably my end, but all I get is "unable to dispaly web page" from IE.

It's working on Chrome...

I use chrome, too. Google Drive/docs should be compatible with IE (says google the company), so I don't know where to look for a solution. Someone else an idea?

After the August CTC, these are some of the things that I think are worth mentioning:

- So far in 2014, 78 Free Spirits have participated in at least one of the monthly challenges. Will we get to a 100?
- That includes three new entries: Christopher Ryan, Julie Steventon and rhr.
- 22 members have now rowed 8 or 9 CTC's this year.
- The January 5k still was the most popular among Free Spirits (will the current September one exceed the top score of 53?)
- There is still no light at the top between Liefcat and thornmaster.

The full list is here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... MTWc#gid=4

Rodger thanks for the update. This leaderboard has really helped me to complete at least 1 hard session each month this year, while I have been struggling for motivation.

Thanks for the update Roger. As others have said, this table motivates me to put in a decent effort at each month's CTC. I seem to have settled into a solid 6th place and I'll be very happy if I can stay there until the end of the year.

Good to hear this table has motivational value for some. Updating doesn't require a lot of effort or time, as it's only once a month, so I intend to keep this running long term.

Seeing that my compatriot Sjoerd has joined in this month, the fight for FS boat 1, and consequently the top of the leaderboard, suddenly has become a lot more interesting too.

Looks like I will be struggling to stay in boat 1 and at the top of the leader board with sjoerd posting a time. My lack of training over he last few months will really be shown up over this months distance and I won't be able to rely on natural power do scrape through.

The table is updated. Thornmaster is the sole king of the CTC hill right now, after a late shocker entry. ^O^
September also saw the reappearance of Cathrine, Sjoerd, Huw, Graham and Joe.

Thanks for the update Rodger. I see we have 13 members who have completed all the challenges to date. I wonder will we end up with 13 members having done all 13 challenges for the year.

Me too. I'd like a special pass for that one as I was very much in the middle of rowing a million metres in a week and didn't have the reserves for 0.0000169 of it done fast. :D

Should we exclude that challenge from the list next year?

Sorry to be such a numbers nerd Plummy, but 0.0000169 x 1,000,000m = 16.9 meters. I think the Valentine's day challenge was 1,402m, which is approximately 83 times as far.

I forgot it was 1402, not 1609 (mile) - oops (well, I was a bit pre-occupied at the time) - and yes, you are correct (and a numbers nerd  ). I even took one zero out before posting #-o

Sorry Thornmaster - you are right, I was definitely slacking - it won't happen again

A different kind of leaderboard, this table lists all Free Spirits with 50 or more CTC's for FS.
The all-time Free Spirits CTC Honorary Board if you like.

Image

Stan and Dave have passed 100 already. ^O^ ^O^ ^O^

Apart from the ones visible in this table, it's worth mentioning that Mikkel Ellesøe Hansen (no. 21) and Joe Lohman (no. 25) also have participated in every year since 2006. The entire table consists of 458 names at the moment.

I have combined different user names for the same persons if the name variations were obvious to me. (In this list, Liefcat/Erik, Peter W. and Kirby had multiple user names.)

Note that former members that had their CTC entries retroactively transferred to another team, could not be included. (Among others, Mike Channin and Paul Gould spring to mind.) The way the database is set up means I can correct these when I am provided with the correct information. Likewise, challenges for other teams but done by current members under the same name, may have been included undeservedly, although I'm not aware of any examples of those.

Could it be "steve the slug" (forum name)? Before my time obviously, but I see he mentioned doing the CTC in February 2007.
