Well done duffyoz. CTC is a participation thing so don't worry about the time. I'm not. My first row for weeks and I managed to get within a minute of my PB

After my "cracking" start I feel quite "bad" today. Maybe I'm sick I'm surely weaker this evening and have felt weak since friday morning.

Re: September CTC: 1000m static start
Hope you feel better soon Mikkel!
After missing my first CTC since Sept 2006 in June, I also missed July and Aug
So, a simple 1k looked like something I should be able to do without too much trouble.
Another seat filled (3:23.1) this morning. Still coughing!
Come on Thomas, you are way better than me at sprinting
I hope I can keep it up.

Re: September CTC: 1000m static start
After my transportation this morning (5:30 - 6:00) I did 1000m wu in 5:12.6 but I realized that I had used too much power on the bike and had to hd at the CTC (750m in) (page was @1:34.1) So after that I did 5K in @ 1:57.5 (19:35)
After work I felt okay and did another attempt and guess what!

I'm on a long weekend away at present, so I'll have to wait until I get home tomorrow to deliver an appropriate rebuff.Stan wrote:Absolutely nothing Paul - its fine as an interim time until I do a proper one

Re: September CTC: 1000m static start
First proper go today.
1000, 3:32.7 @ 1:46.3, 33spm
Seasons best by 2.2s and beat last seasons best as well May have another go before months end to try and get 3:30, but I also need to do a 4 minutes for the challenge series.

Re: September CTC: 1000m static start
Missed the last 2 ctc's due to being away so I'm glad to be back contributing.
Never done a 1k sprint before but based on my 2k pb was hoping for around 3:30ish so very pleased with a time of 3:31.9 Extreme Leg burn for the last 150 though!

Nice one Richard - I don't think I will be able to have another go as I really need to get a 4 minute piece in soon.

Re: September CTC: 1000m static start
I hadn't done anything over 20 spm for months, so it was a strange feeling. I had forgotten the burn in my throat and the little coughing afterwards that won't go away for hours. Let's see if 3:50.3 is enough to get me floated.
