2 bananas
1 pear
punnet of blueberries

(ignore that post) I emailed Eddie Flecther on this, and forgot to update my post . Because of all my Interval speed training the Sunnto T6 cannot lock onto my fitness levels . The watch needs more long distance rows .Mike Channin wrote:John, interesting figures coming from the Suunto there. But on the good side, not many of us could ever even dream of producing 71ml/kg anyway!
The 71ml/kg Epoc is not the same as V02 . High levels would be 250ml/kg . An elite 100% Maraton row would be around the 600ml/kg area . But the highest levels are generally got around the 10K-15K area normally . Shorter then that the EPOC cannot build up . Longer and non-elite rowers slow down to the extent that they build up the EPOC very slow .
Great row Zach, kudos

I think Nicola might be a bit confused about how the CTC works. She appears to have entered her SB/PB ? time of 7:09.0 rowed on 27/3/06 whereas her current C2 ranking is 7:17.0, rowed on 24/11/06.Stan wrote:Not being rude but who is Nicola Davey who has posted a time for FS 1 - I dont seem to be able to find her on the meter board - great time anyway.
This is still an excellent effort but, if I'm not getting muddled, will cause FS1 to slip back a bit.

Unusually we find ourselves approaching the end of the month with a surplus of females and lightweights.
We need 3 more people to float boat 11 - come on Spirits.
Anyone who hasn't registered for the CTC, please do so now. Any continuous 2k from rest will do - the time isn't important, but let's float those boats!!!

5'11", 50 - older, slower, greyer, fatter (and needs to update the sig times too)
I see that, as of yesterday, I've dropped down into FS6...
Wanted to do a 2K SB try to see if I can do something about that, but the first and last chance to do that would be Thursday, and I've promised myself (and will certainly need) at least a day off after the Nijmegen, and even if I didn't, I doubt I'd be in any fit state for an SB...
Why can't November be 31 days long?

Alistair, this is very true and serves me right for not looking properly.
The sex change bit is a problem although I once fell onto a bike crossbar that did its very best to help me along.
The LWT is more promising. On Saturday morning I was 5kg's off. Since then the kids have gone down one after the other with some up chucking bug. Yesterday it was my wife as well. Consequently I've not eaten much at all this week and might now be within a couple of kgs.
I also see that FS XII has one female seat. Is it not the case that she should be in FS XI?
Anyway, will still try to do a 2k and to get some metres ont hat board as I've done only 10k this week which has been a bit of mare.

Sorry it took so long- but now posted time.
Didn't catch Rita Harrumph. I'm blaming sore throat + 4km windy OTW scull this pm (the J16 IVs nearly ran me over - little devils! ) - but as it was a SB by 1sec I shouldn't be too miffed!
Anyhow - knock on has lifted quite a few positions & boat XI floats!
Bring on the 5k!
