Pete: thanks!

Paul: I've added a "This is my team" button. Will play around with it more this weekend.

Also, at the encouraging of my daughters, I've added a little more graphics to the board, showing we are really a global team. Can't resist tinkering with things...

Now all I have to do is stay ahead of Mark...

Meter(Metre) Board

Post by mash »

j

I see you're watching you're back, you keep on going because it keeps me chasing. Trouble is, when I've rowed at night I'm within striking distance of you but as you are across the pond you do likewise and when I check the tables in the morning you've shot ahead again.

The most I'd ever done in one month before was 189000m but last night I passed 201000 and still a good 10 days left.

My only concern is:

* How long can I keep this up
* Gutted I didn't row this morning before work, I'd be even closer to you now.

Will be passing the 2 million mark on Saturday morning.

Great page you've developed though, I'm envious as I'm a programmer and see stuff like that and think "WOW" but I'm more a windows services man myself.

Keep up the good work.

I managed to shoot myself in the foot today and mistakenly removed a large portion of the entries from the database.

I was able to restore most of the data from backups, so everything is back to normal. Lesson learned: be a bit more careful in the future. :D

I agree, but if you have the Saltire I would like to know how to get the flag of St George!

Flags are simply matched to the country code that was entered on the Concept2 site. I'm happy to entertain requests for custom flags - I do have an flag of the St George cross, and can use that instead of the Union Jack.

Anyone wants a different flag (that you can't get by changing the country on the concept2 site), just PM me with a flag request, and I'll see what can do.

Hmmm. Gregor's must be custom then since I cannot find "Scotland" in the countries (unless I am looking in the wrong place). So, just in the interest of balance could I have the St George Cross?

btw I think the flags are na excellent idea.

Sorry Gregor, couldn't resist exercising my god-like admin power and correcting your little flag error. Off on holiday now so you can do the same to me!

I'll take a St. Georges Cross if I may. On another note, good to see you back in the saddle Nigel!

Jonathan, many thanks for your sterling work on the board.

Any chance of a Cornish flag? Black field and white cross of St George. If too difficult then a St George is great.

We be in touch soon about the percentage challenge.

Keep up the great work.

Graham, Michelle, Pete: done.

I only have country flags at the moment, not counties or districts, sorry. Those might get confusing, especially if I throw the USA state flags into the mix as well.

Being a provincial sort of Yank, I have a hard enough time recognizing the existing flags on the board, especially Netherland/Luxembourg and Ireland/Italy.

Date rowed of pieces.

Post by SandBaggerOne »

It seems that the meter board groups meters by date entered not by date rowed. Thus, while I entered 3HM and a 10K today in the C2 logbook and indicated the daates on which they were rowed, the board here still misleadingly indicates I rowed over 70K today.

Yes, that's a limitation of the way the data is collected. What can I say, it encourages people to enter their rows on time.

Just looking at the meter board there again from it's new location , which my company firewall is not blocking . Incredible job jlemon.

The flags, logbook and graphs, are all new with the firewall blocking stopped . I think the logbook part works better then on the concept2 website itself.

Very well done, great tool for us all to use

Jonathan, could you kindly change mine to the English flag as well please, I may be living in the US but I pledge allegiance to a different flag.

Thank you

Jonathan, Have we a problem with the Standings site at the moment?
I no longer default to the list showing everyone and I know Nigel is having the same problem
Thanks
