Chat (MSN)

Post by PSims »

Hi all,

I often log on here and see others online in the Forum at the same time, but can't get a message to them to go to chat room - so it's hard to get someone's attention! Oi Plummy - oh - you've gone.

Anyone up for sharing MSN Messenger ids - then we can see when others are around?

Can't put them on here though cos everyone can see them.

What do you think?
Paul

I thought that people can only see them if they are registered and logged in. But that does not appear to be the case!

I will look for a mod that can change the way the forum works - setting it up in the profile would be the easiest way to do it I reckon.

I know that there is a mod that stops people from seeing the member-list and profile details unless they are logged in. That would do it.

Right up for it, love MSN - makes the whole world a smaller place - not just when you bump into one of your old rugby mates in a McDonalds in the middle of Tenerife

OK, I have set up the site so that noone can see your profile and hence MSN/AIM etc. without being logged in. Is that enough?

I suggest everyone uses Trillian - http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ as their client.

I used to use icq - back in the days when I was wasting time playing role playing games online instead of exercising
More than happy to use whatever the majority decide.

I use MSN. Feel free to add me if you want.
I should probably have some rowing-types in there as I seem to have lost the bug at the moment. :?

I thought you were at sea! Maybe you have other things on your mind like moving abroad. Or is it that my times are now so amazingly good that you don't want to even try for them

I wish I was at sea - at least I would have a good excuse. :?

I've been pretty busy trying to throw out crap that we have collected over the past few years and pack everything away as we're moving on 23rd september.

But yes, your times are impressive. :x
