Piotr -- feel better soon, just try not to step on my head once you're well enough to leap past. :D

Peter -- I've seen those duplicate meters that then fix themselves. It may happen during a certain time window like time of day or week. There's a bug mentioned on the MeterBoard fix thread where Thomas said that he carries 7 days in an array for faster table display, and it was causing an issue he thought would resolve itself in time. If that's related, maybe it's still happening, but only shows up briefly and goes away. :?:

James -- still holding on to that 4th, nice rowing!

And there's another killer female on the loose. Peggy is on the move. Great meters, lady. Plummy I have a feeling our names may be on a sticky... haha

Cue the theme music to "Jaws"...

Actually, I've attached a wireless trackball/mouse to my rowing handle and I'm reading ebooks displayed on the TV (in a very BIG font). Rowing and reading - I think I'm in heaven!

I'm only too happy to hand over the title of ' The Sticky Killer ' to Peggy. I'm running out of patio space... :D

Anyway Plummy, I've told you before that you're quite safe. A man who can do the ironing... Worth his weight in gold. :) I'll aways spare Barbara and Ann because they are an inspiration to me and they make me laugh. =D>

I believe you 86th me today. At least that is the number of meters you went ahead of me on the meter board today. Well, I am a tough lady and I can take it.

I just noticed that myself. Nothing personal 99 - it was purely coincidental. :^o First time in a long time that I've finished a day ahead of you on the meterboard. I promise I won't do it again! :^o

While Max & 99 conduct secret missions, I've joined Piotr's camp -- downed by a virus. Respiratory infection + fever. Circling on the broomstick has come to a "screeching" halt. :mrgreen: I guess the general prescription is don't erg with a fever, and go easy when it's in the lungs. So for now I'm curled up under a blanket watching the Aussie Open, trying to stay clear of everyone but the dog. :-# =;

Hi Barbara, get well soon! It's a good idea to stay off the erg when you're having a fever. Hopefully the dog will be good company in the meantime :fswink:

Sorry to hear that Barbara (he says just checking how many metres ahead she is again.... )

Take plenty of days off - just to make sure you are fully healed of course O:)

Sorry to hear that Barbara. Guess that's a lesson learned the hard way. As someone who tends to blow very hot and cold, I know how difficult it is to resist putting in a session when you're feeling a bit under the weather but your training has been going well.

As plummy says, wait until you're sure you're 100% recovered before getting back on the erg. And don't worry if he manages to sneak past you on the meterboard while you're recuperating. You'll soon storm back past him when you're fully fit again.

Barbara my dear, I'm sorry to hear that you have been temporarily put out of action and hope that you are receiving plenty of tea and sympathy. :-({|= :fswink:

In the meantime, would you like me to keep the broomstick ' ticking over ' :?: Think I might have a few tongues of newts and eyes of toads, kicking about in the freezer.

A few months ago, a newbie posted that they had been a lurker - wasn't wearing my glasses, so thought it read lurcher. This conjured up a delightful picture of a dog dressed in rowing gear.

Take care and no erging until you are 100% better. [-X :)

Barbara,

Darn those viruses. Hopefully yours will realize it infected the wrong person and will soon make a quick exit and vaporize itself. Full rest is always recommended however the virus usually dictates what you do.
Speedy recovery and all the best.

Wow! All these get well wishes and prescriptions for Barbara to steer clear of the erg until she's fully healed. One could almost, almost get the idea that there was another reason you all don't want her to post huge meter totals. Almost but not quite!

Barbara, hope you recover quickly and get back in the saddle!

I am starting to find the going a bit rough in 40s on the meter board. I'm still posting big numbers, but so are the folks ahead of me on the board.

I'm nanaged to climb from 50 to 46 over the past week. See how my meters keep shooting up, but my meter board climb is beginning to falter!
