Steven Dowd seems to be missing - still on the Team Challenge board though.

Ian, although we still have the benefit of Steven Dowd's January Challenge metres, he is now affiliated to the Air Force Rowing Team.

There's a military challenge on during February, so it may just be a temporary absence.

He he, well I guess this is due to the fact that I deleted a SkiErg test of 178m from my log today. Planning a row now that should fix it ;-)

Bit of a thread resurrection but I just noticed a certain Christine Wojcik appearing towards the bottom of the meterboard with a first row of the season of 7207m. That's an immensely welcome sight. Glad to see you back m'lady :-)

Yes Plummy, I also saw Christine’s entry and although we do not know one another, from reading some of her funny/witty/common sense and supportive posts, she was a very talented rower and asset ( like all our ladies ) to the club.

There are lots of reasons why people no longer row and most of them come under the heading ‘ Life’ .

Christine, it is always heartening to see people returning to Free Spirits and hopefully we will see more of your presence on the Meterboard.

Jill :)

I reckon you're safe enough Ian. With the kids being off & the like I've been able to put in a few unusually large weeks recently but I'll be back to something a bit more sustainable now. This is already my highest meters season (woo - go me !! ;)

Having quietly rowed passed Plummy, 3 days away and he seems to be trying the same quiet meterage addition. Only being approximately 17500 ahead at the moment I'm sure the 2 week break will give Plummy time to row past. I shall applaud =D> the effort as It will give me another challenge to meet when I get back :D

After going to the dark side and taking up cycling a few years ago I backed off the rower a lot. I Ordered a new model d and it arrived February 9th. I passed my other model d to my son and now we are challenging each other. It is great to have him to motivate me and now I just need to keep above him on the meter board. My excuse is that I am 21 years older than him but I’m not doing bad for a 51 year old. So come on Josh Forrester ( my son ) let’s climb the meter board 👍🏻

I was chasing you down Plummy, but no sooner did I have you in my sights you seem to have got back into a more regular pattern and are keeping me at a safe social distance below you. =D>

Wasn't a conscious thing on my part, I actually thought you'd backed off for injury/work reasons. My pattern doesn't change much to be honest.

I was going to add to this thread that it's great to see the metreage that Carol Sergeant is putting in and also great to see her back munching metres like the old days

We seem to have lost the powerhouse that is Dwayne. He doesn’t enter distances every day, but I would have expected him to have popped up at the top of the board by now :(

EDIT - According to the C2 site Dwayne is still a Free Spirits member but has registered 0 metres this season. Hope he is OK. I don’t think we have ever been in contact with him via the forum etc.

Jon, I had a look back on some of the Millionaire Club Season threads to see that for whatever reasons ( including Plummy's suggestion ) Dwayne doesn't always post his metres until 2 - 3 weeks after the start of the new season.

Fingers crossed. :)

In the meantime, perhaps some or all of our Meterboard leaders are ' nervously ' looking in their rear view mirrors. :fswink:

I checked the Meterboard today and noticed that Dwayne is back! Jill was right. He's apparently not been on break as he dumped 274K meters in yesterday's slot. That's about 4 times as many as me in the last 2 1/2 weeks... :)

Just noticed that the daily average is calculated slightly different. When I checked now my average is higher than on c2 log book and when taking the total of 131000 / 26. Is it based on number of ended days?

I can’t remember Tako, but it may also be a “time zone” thing. I am always grappling with time at C2 HQ, time where I am now and time where the Free Spirits servers reside (Central Europe).
