Twice round the world

Post by PSims »

Just peeked at the Team Metres Board. 79,740,652m

Just 250k short of rowing twice round the world...we seem to be rowing at a rate of once round the world every 2 months. Seems pretty astounding to me! Well done everyone. :P

Also looked at last year's final results.
The top team Iron Oarsmen achieved 143M.
We should pass that in 3 months (or less).
I don't believe 200M has ever been achieved - we'll see!

Still a little way behind on the moon challenge - but we can do it.

A funny issue

Yes...and that's another thing I found out. There is a bug/glitch/feature in the Concept 2 site that people (including Concept) may not be aware of.

We left WISE during this years season - right.
So how come our records have been removed from last years WISE totals.
Also their new members that joined this year have had their last years metres added to the WISE total.
Same is true for every other team.

So if we achieve brliiant things this year, then people leave, we lose their contributions.

Now surely that's not right - it should be frozen and archived at year end?

Yes I noticed this happens. You will also notice Free Spirits were in existance last year despite only being formed in May this year

If you look on the bright side there is the chance we can top this years standings, then go back in time and top last years too.

Also those in FS who left other clubs are taking last years metres with them :)
