After 2 consecutive days of HDing around 1000 meters I got a good 2K time, knocking .7 seconds off my best and 7 seconds off my season's best. Now I have all those middle distance ones left to go from 6K to 10K. The 500m seems out of reach right now.
Cheers,
Colin

I'm getting closer to knocking off all my old PBs by the end of April! I took 7.7 seconds off my 10k for a 37:20.4.
Cheers,
Colin

Tiger Woods may have made an impressive comeback, Colin, but yours is worth mentioning as well

Thanks Fred and Dave! It has been satisfying to best times I achieved as a 24 year old to say the least.
Cheers,
Colin

Well done Colin! Impressive! As you can see from my Meta-Nonathlon post far too fast for me!
So no clue why you cannot beat my times for the C2CTC

Thanks, Tako! Don't be so modest, you are faster than I am in the short pieces by quite a bit!

Colin

Well, I guess it shows how the different distances require their mix of stamina and power
Although I do a lot of meters I can clearly see that my stamina is not close to yours. Also my body would not tolerate the 800k in a month and then doing these impressive PBs!

I hauled in 31 meters on my 30' PB for 8089. I started my sprint too soon and faded ... twice, in the last 2.5 minutes, so I think 8100 is within reach with a better finish. This distance was the most painful so far. It's just a brutal combination of length and pace.
Cheers,
Colin

Managed to improve the HM PB from 1:24:58.7 @ 2:00.8 to 1:24:10.2 @ 1:59.6
So for this season only the 30min PB remains to be beaten

Well, about a week and a half left, no doubt you can do it. Good luck.

Go for it, Tako! If you hit 8100 I might need to take another crack at it!
I checked off the 6K today. I was aiming for 22:00 or under and this pace is a littler slower than my 2K, 5K, and 30' would predict, but it's a new PB all the same. I am not particularly well rested, so this leaves me some room for improvement for next season. I'd like to get sub 22' in 6K, sub 18' for 5K, and 8100 for 30'. No specific goals for the other pieces at the moment. I'll have a go at the CTC soon, and perhaps the 500m after a day or two off.
Cheers,
Colin

Took another 2.4 seconds off the 1K PB today! Tako, how's the 30' coming?

Colin

Almost no rowing this week due to travel, but back home now and four days left to try. Hopefully with help from a RowPro session with those that crack the 8k easily as

I managed to set a new 500m PB - 1:46.9
a 9.6 seconds improvement. Happy with that, but no way I could do another 500m at that pace
Maybe one day ...

Yay! I managed my first 50km yesterday morning. Very very happy (and still am!). A teaspoon of Nutella and water every 10km seem to do the trick

Great achievement LilyG!
The meters and you do not seem to show on the meterboard. Is that by choice or did you miss some settings in your Concept2 log?
