Well done, Lesley. =D> =D> =D> You are becoming a force to be reckoned with.

This time last year I did a PB of 285m. for the IRL 1 minute challenge.
Twelve months on, I have made a 6m. improvement for a new PB of 291m.in the current IRL/FFMC challenges.
Hat trick next year :?:

Well done indeed Philip. Sorry for not picking up on that when you posted it. Given your sprightly young age, that is an incredible distance!

I noticed Phillip that your 1 min IRL row is so good you scored 100 and thus it’s the standard the rest of us are being compared against. That’s an awesome row!

Belated very well done Philip, that was a 100% row indeed! Thast must be very close to the world record then?

Edit: it looks like the world record is 311m, but rowed by a youngster 83 years of age :D

When is a PB not a PB? As part of the rowd royalty online competition, week 3 event is a 10k done the crossfit way. Row 4k, 3'r, row 1k, 3'r, row 5k. The 1k and overall 10k times are for scoring. The 5k component was a PB, faster than the TT 5k I did just a week or so ago. Under the 22min for the first time. So a PB but not a PB  5k time = 21:53.5

Why doesn't this count as a PB Lesley? I'm assuming you did it from a standing start and you have a time for the 5k. Sounds like a sound PB to me, or am I missing something.

Well done anyway =D>

I agree with Jon. If there was a 3 minute rest before you started it then the flywheel was stationary - so your 5k is a PB, no problem

Lesley, Very impressive to break a PB during that session =D> =D> =D> . I'm guessing that you are referring to the Concept 2 rule that states records must be "Single distance or timed pieces (no interval pieces)." It also wouldn't show under your Lifetime Bests on the History page. To remove any doubt there is of course one very simple solution....

You're a nasty man Max!! [-X Let Lesley have her PB. =D>

In a sense, ALL our rows are intervals, just some have MUCH longer rests than others O:)

Thank you gentlemen, Max is correct, concept log doesn't see it as a 5k piece. Annoying I couldn't do that time just a week or so before in a planned TT. And yes doing it again would remove all doubt. At least I know my cunning plan is getting results.

Your honour I plead not guilty. In my defence I did congratulate Lesley on her PB. I am however happy to accept the lesser charge of gross mischievousness .

Pleading guilty to the lesser charge, accepted.

Punishment should perhaps be a 5kTT.

Well done Max, great effort. The charge of gross mischievousness has been wiped from your record. I hope it didnt hurt too much or for too long.

No 5k TT but a 2kTT and a grand attempt at the concept2 virtual world sprints 1000m. Both PB's.

2k was 8:22.8 and now 8:13.3, so a 2:03.3 pace average. It didnt go to plan so i'm sure there is still a few seconds that could be knocked off this at the moment. Blew out in the middle section to 2:05 pace but bought the last 250 home in 1:59.4 pace. Just wasn't my day but still happy with the 9s improvement.

1k was 4:00.0 on 26 Oct 2019, then 3:52.9 on Wednesday 26 Feb as the first part of a pyramid session and now 3:49.5 and it came complete with a new max HR up 3 beats to 170. Certainly nothing left in the tank after that one. Aimed at a 1:55 pace throughout and averaged 1:54.7, slacked of for a few strokes in the middle and bought the last 250 home at 1:53.2 pace.

Onwards and downwards to the elusive sub 8min 2k.

Feeling bad (not really) that Max did a 5k TT I went out this morning to paddle a 5000m to tick over some metres and it all went a tad faster. As it was a standalone piece it counts as a proper PB, and faster than the one in the mixed session before. 21.37.9. I believe it could go faster but I wasn't actually looking for a PB this morning. I was avoiding the March CTC  . Leaves me 52 of 351 in the world rankings this season, finding motivation anywhere.

Just to mix the distances another crack at the 1 min on Sunday arvo gave me another 2 metres so now 303 which leaves me so far sitting 7th (of 75) in the concept2 world rankings for HWt 50-59 women this season.
