Too funny Jan. That graph tells quite a story. Glad it ended well.

Catch up time for me on this thread.
Very pleasing to read the other latest posts as well. Great effort everyone. =D>

Well done Jan and Kirstin - that's quite an improvement for you both - I'm sure there'll be more to come. =D>jhaveman wrote:In the end I finished in 3:41.7, about 2.5 seconds below my old PB

Nice work sander!
I don't know how you guys get your heart rate so high. If I stay around 150 for very long (which is only just into AT for me), I'm panting, wheezing and just want to stop rowing.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Well, I really thought I was up to some good tonight during my 30 minute scheduled row in RowPro. I struggled mightily during the last 90 seconds or so to hit 7400 which I thought would be a PB. At the end, I hit 7410 - 3 meters farther than my previous PB.... LoL...

Thanks. It's genetics. Maximum heart rate is different for everyone, as well as how the heart reacts to different types of exercise.Draggon wrote:Nice work sander!

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
After doing Sam Blythe's 6 week program I have a new PB in the 10k. I even managed a faster pace for this 10k than my pre-program 2k TT. Next up the CRC and a 2k TT. But not today.

Holy smokes, that's a lot of improvement. Some 28% increase in wattage.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Nice job Kirstin - the training plan is paying big dividends! Also wow to Sander. =D>
Foggy day 7am erging for me -- and finally, finally a PB in the 15:00 @ 22 spm piece. This is a time trial we do certain weeks. I've been trying to catch my PB for over a year. The PB was from a day when I was new to this piece and forgot the 22 rate cap. Went out fast and a few minutes in was reminded to slow down. I wasn't sure I'd catch back up to that day, but today I managed a whopping two additional meters keeping the rate within spec
The fog never lifted, so my PB was followed by a 30 min low aerobic piece @ 20-22, then a 3x750m at 34-35, and a brutal 500m of a 1500m relay with 2 other women, each of us rating around 40 (and winning the relay by 10m) - just nutty. Total of nearly 13,000 meters and I was tired!

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Well done Sander and Ron. =D> Ron, you obviously decided to pay heed to the words written on your avatar - it was a PB - in rowing terms, an extra three metres is a long way.
Kirstin that’s a terrific improvement - proof again, that if you follow a structured training plan, then an excellent result is possible. =D>
Bravo Barbara. =D> From your well written description, a strenuous but successful training session. Liked the idea of posting the photographs, ‘ Ergs at Dawn ‘ , very useful aid to the imagination.

Did my 10k test at the end of Sam's plan and managed to get a nice new pb! Hopefully a 2k to join it later this week.

Great result Felton. Best wishes for the 2k! Here's to improvement in that one too.
Ron I missed your 30 min above -- congrats on exceeding the goal! I hope to get back online for the genfits soon, would be great to see you.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
I've been pretty sporadic lately myself, but am trying to recommit. The funny thing about that row is how I really thought I was tearing it up but only got 3 meters further... made me chuckle.CamiCrew wrote:Ron I missed your 30 min above -- congrats on exceeding the goal! Grats also to you on your foggy-day performance. Chasing a PB for over a year and finally nailing it must be a good feeling!

2k test today to complete Sam's plan. Probably still a bit tired after the CTC effort yesterday but pleased to report a new pb by 6.8s. Think I can dip under 6:40 on fresh legs

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Had to do a 5k test for the start of Sam's new plan and managed to improve my pb by 11s. Must have picked the right pace because I was struggling to do any kind of sprint at the end!

I've signed up for Sam's next program (knee injury notwithstanding) and if I can make even a quarter of the progress you've made, I'll be a very happy bunny.
