I wrote to Richard and congratulated him.
Thought you might like to see the reply.....

Paul

Thanks for your mail. Nice to hear from you!

As you may have seen my meters/day are slowly dropping. I have two herniated cervical discs and am due for reconstructive neck surgery in November. It's no big deal in and out in 4 days. The bad news no rowing for three months post surgery WITHDRAWAL!!!!!.

You may want to post some of this on your forum and warn the other "older" team members that if they develop upper back or lower neck pain they should slow down.Too much repetitve neck movements on the sled may (?) lead to or contributed to my upper spine pathologies. I've been doing competitive sports for ever so my neck thing is almost certainly multifactorial.

Just a note of caution if anyone wants to know more please have them drop me a mail

regards

Richard

Latest millionaires are:

Barry Lynch and John Glynn.

Congrats to both.

(For John that is an awful lot of sprints!)

Yes well done Peter. I entertained hopes of being able to keep up with you at one stage but not a chance.
Incidentally well done to Michael Gunther who also went through 2 million metres recently as well

Thank you guys. The only reason I am there is cause of Free Spirits. There is NO WAY I would rowed this many metres without Free spirits and that dam metre board :)
I have rowed more this season than the rest of my life!!!! and as Paul pointed out to me the other day we are only half way through the season

Jainser - I have news for you - the day you get close to touching Derrylad's metres you will have a REAL fight on your hands.
Just watch what he's doing to Scott at the moment.

It's giving me pleasure - as I can't catch either of them, despite 110Km in the last 5 days!!!

Now if I could just get that rower at home for the weekends....

Hats off to Zach Ellison who is through 3m this season. 8)

Given that Zach is probably at the younger end of the team this is obviously a great achievement.

Congrats to me - passing 1M metres at the end of my marathon row. :D

The only problem I see with this is as soon as I add a few metres to that lovely round total, I gonna have to do a whole other million to round it up again!!!

A bit of a catch up. Apologies in advance if I have repeated some of these.

Agustin Jaurequi - through 2m
Ian Hesketh - 1m+
Clifton Patten - 1m+
Jim Maurer - 1m+
David Plumb - 1m+
Peter Trusio -1m+

Hopefully I've already acknowledged Yuri's 2m+ mark but if not well done. :P

Congratulations to all of the above. 8)

This team is not really about distances or times, but the million metre milestone is special and many of us will regard it as an aspiration that this team will help us to achieve.
