Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Spikey - great HM time - but - not wanting to get political and throw a "damper" on it - but should the time stand if you changed the damper/DF setting after starting? :?:

Re: Meter board banter

I've just managed to haul myself into 46th spot (after think I would kill myself hanging on to 50th place) - passing Gooner this afternoon. Next target is Anders Nordquist who doesn't appear to be logging metres at the moment (hope he doesn't see this post) Steffen Stamp looks like he'll pass a bunc...

Hey Spikey - I'm too old and too skinny to keep being used as a target by you young, tall HWT's - it's not fair

Where's that "humppffhh" emoticon

P.S. Bloody good 30k though =D>

Re: Full Marathon training

Kirby, You and I are similar ages and weights and having just completed my third in 3 years (some people do that in 3 days!!) I can tell you how mine went (although most of the details are already posted on the PB thread). I did NO formal training at all for it. For long-ish rows I'd done this calen...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

PB at 1 mile distance - down from 5:40.0 to

5:38.9

Struggled most of the way through this - still as I said earlier, a PB is a PB!!

Re: March CTC: 1,609m (1 mile)

First attempt and struggled (bad lactic build up/burning lungs - rare for me). Managed 5:38.9 - which is a PB by 1.1 seconds though. Average split 1:45.3 - I've done better than this at 1.8k and 2k :x  Just waiting for the usual crewe of Petr/Kirby and Steve F to bump me down the LWT positions....

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Well done Stan - a PB is a PB however it arrives and no matter how small or large the improvement.

May have a go at the CTC later as I have only ever done the mile once before - undecided yet.

Re: WELCOME to New Members

Peter, From memory I think it takes 3 or 4 days after joining before it updates fully (I think you show up as "new" shown in blue on the metre board for a few days aswell). I wouldn't worry about it for a few days yet - if it's still not right after a week then let us know and the I.T. exp...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Tried something a bit offbeat tonight as I didn't want to go a week without an interval session but didn't fancy any of the Pete Plan stuff (plus still recovering from pulled stomach muscles after my marathon) 4 x 2500m (with a thought towards Basingstoke 2.5k race in April I suppose as well) 1) 9:5...

It all looks very shiny and new - some work must have gone in to this - well done.

Any chance of some different colour separation - it's all very blue

Hi Girls, Sorry to be invading your space and hope you don't mind! SaraC - I commend you for having a go at a half marathon. From my perspective (and I'm no expert), if you are completing 10k's, 4-5 times a week, I would be surprised if a HM was outside of your achieveable limits. 10k's are stated t...

Steve,
That sounds like a bad internal connection/dry solder joint or similar. Massively annoying as it is, I think it will be a quick fix with a replacement by C2
