Re: October 2013 - celebrating the life of Gaye McOnie

Just completed my 3861 as the sun sets here in beautiful New Zealand, i did not know Gaye but i now know the immense loss Dave is feeling. Years of layered memories and intimacies that no one else can breach. RIP Gaye.

Re: Meter board banter

I was 2 off the bottom when i started rowing this season in June, i have flogged myself into position 53 and lost 3 kgs on the way...getting harder to get inside the 30...!! Your 9th spot is safe from me for a while Plummy.

My long rows were...

Thanks folks, it was the big 65 but no retirement yet, slowly coming back up to full steam on the rowing front and enjoying it very much.

Re: Beryl Archer

Thank you one and all for your kind and thoughtful posts about my darling girl Beryl. Ber was ill from the 27th June last year and died on 3rd February 2013. Not once in that time did Beryl complain or stop smiling. I miss her more than I can ever say.

Thanks again

Temperatures here in the far Norht of NZ yesterday were hitting 30 and by the evening when I rowed it had cooled somewhat but still very humid. 1hr. 41 at rate 2.24...I started off with more enthusiasm than I finished but I am happy...
