Re: Erg cover

Thanks for the thoughts.

I've found a motorbike cover of broadly the right dimensions for £10, so I'm having a punt.

Team Guy: A rather messy, ill advised, spur of the moment attempt earlier.

Started off as a paddle (which lasted about 30s), then progressed to a negative split.Image

Re: Erg cover

When I was looking for a bbq cover this year, the "Webber" brand were extortionate, but I found a B&Q option (just as good in my opinion) for a fraction of the price. Just maybe their biggest one of those might fit ...? That was the direction of my thought process - motorbike covers a...

Erg cover

Hi all,

Following a house move, my workout location is shifting to the garage. It's reasonably weather proof, but I'm musing on merits of a cover. Clearly Concept 2 sell the bespoke/obvious option for £50, but has anyone tried or can recommend any other options?

Thanks in advance!

She's promised to try the 4 minutes and see how she feels, though she wouldn't be available for one of the months.

Had a two passes at 4 minutes this morning. No idea how to pace, and get the feeling its as per the message above - just row at the limit ☹️

1113m is logged for Team Guy.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019

I confess to being slightly adrift of Facebook (and whether it's frequented by anyone different - I can't see many updates in the pages I have access to), but maybe an image and weblink could be shared around to drum up interest?

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019

Excellent point on the rankings Grobi, which means nonathon (as many distances as are available) averaged seems fairest.

If the teams can wait until late September, we could see how many others can be encouraged....

I personally love the imagery relating to dancing at two weddings 😁

First proper attempt, not enough of a warm up but still turned out ok. I'd hazard Dave could top this with rested lungs. That said, 4.5s under the patented Maclaren estimator [emoji6] - perhaps the interactive plan is having an impact.... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180904/479a10111cce807d4a8...

We could use the results of the last ctc and alternate between the two boats - should leave the teams balanced ish?

I'm encouraging a fellow gym goer to try the 4 minute piece (following a successful introduction to the CTCs), so we *may* have another rower signing up.

Jinxed myself completely with yesterday's row, and could pace it at all today so settled for a recovery mix today.

Re: September ctc - 2818m, standing start, free stroke rate

I had a run through this earlier to 'log' the distance on my gym's c2. Didn't plan on going anything like full pace, and finished comfortably at 1.54 pace (2km pace +3) if that's of any interest.

Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)

End of the first 'hard' week. Having habitualised myself to around 10k in the morning with the Pete Plan, I'm now nearly at piece with the 15k required for this plan on a hard week, though l last night I was running on fumes. On the flip side, there's glimmers of improvement after 3 weeks. Today was...

Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)

Given that the majority of us are relatively untrained and non-elite athletes, any regular and sustained exercise at a reasonable intensity will bring about an improvement. Paul G I'm sufficiently stubborn (and attracted routine based training) to keep with a plan, so I'm going to see how things go...
