excellent result ,6 31 for 2k .maybe i need a bit of arest before i try the 2k again. =D> =D>
just need to try a different training program for a couple of weeks first.trying to build up the stamina first.

john ,i remember once doing an inter gym training event .bike ,rowing,run,step ups,shoulder press and push ups.and my times really started to improve on the 2k . i also lost quiet a bit of weight at the time. i think i will go back to that type of trainig for a while,to try and get some more positiv...

kirbyt.great effort on coming over to england for the rowing =D>
your best bet for a good budget hotel would be a Premier Inn ,there is one right next to the nec arena.they are a new chain of hatels :)

being 6,3" and ex rugby player,somebody elses kit might be a bit tight. :o

i will be going ,entered myself in 35-39hwt.with a time of 7.05min,but i think i will be able to beat that by some distance ,especially when the adrenaline kicks in!!
be stopping in brum for weekend. :) looking forward to meeting you all.

just done a 30 min row.did 7560 meters,first one ever .i think i went off a bit fast,because there was not alot left in the last 500 meters. :shock:
i will have to get the pace thing right next time :!: it is definately a stamina thing #-o

i would have said that recovery is very important.i only say this because i have had some nasty injuries through my last sport rugby. :cry: a quick sleep after training is always the best recovery,once you have streched obviously! i tend to stay away from any supliments to help me train,because i am...

i managed a personal pb after being away from rowing for 3 years ,i got 7 min dead for 2k .my best ever was 6.34 min 3 years ago . i am getting there :mrgreen:

i like to kick off with a 5k row at about 65 to 75%. 4 sets of ten lat pull downs front and back ,upright rowing,4 sets of ten. then on to the arms,4 sets of 10 with the z bar, 4 sets of ten dumbell curls.then the triceps pushdowns with the ropes ,then tricep kick backs. then tommorow i will do the ...
