Re: December ctc - The french kiss #2 (1'/2'/3'/1'/2'/3' - 9'r total)

Well done Jon, I had been thinking of trying for 3200m, but would have to move that target now [emoji849] Last time I blew up in the final 2 reps, so if I try again I’d increase the final rest to 3min and hope to survive up to that point...

Re: Name that tune

I still have nightmares about a big blonde milkmaid with a gap in her teeth  - it was one of the first music videos ever shown in South Africa(we only got TV in 1976!!) Paul, you shouldn't complain, it could be a lot worse. Do I have to mention chart toppers like Father Abraham's "Smurf S...

Re: Name that tune

Jill, you caught me out here, for some reason I can only think of tunes by Dutch bands that most people probably never heard of  However I've found one that made its way onto some UK greatest hits albums, so good luck to all: Where you can hear a country song from far and someone plays the ho...

I'm sorry to spoil the party, Jill, but I put that clue up last month

I second (or third) Jill and Tako’s wishes!
Last Sunday I did my first HM of this season, and have no intention of doing another one any time soon [emoji53]
Lots of respect for anyone starting this challenge!

Well done Jill, played some old albums the other day and the song title stuck as a good tune option.

Re: November CTC: 4 x 750m (3r)

Thanks Dave and Tako - and well done everybody who had a first go at this challenge! I chickened out of having a second attempt at last month's challenge  (although JonT kicking me out of my boat almost made me try again), but I'm certainly planning to try this one again. Don't think I'll find...

Re: Name that tune

When it comes to thinking, we all know that sometimes our brains enjoy teasing us. They put on a blindfold and then, with much groping about amongst their billions of little grey cells, ( who are always in on the joke ) pretend that they don't have a clue ... Of course, sometimes they don't. :fsbgr...

Re: Name that tune

Thanks Paul and Wolfie. We'd just returned from a pub quiz when I saw the quote, that might have helped :D I immediately recognised it, more from the rhythm of the words than the actual words themselves. Here's the next one: I saw two shooting stars last night I wished on them but they were only sat...
