Re: Nonathlon 2023

OK thanks for the quick reply guys, old school then, I was sort of hoping to do it wirelessly from somewhere deep in the menu. Now where's that USB stick that I haven't used in decades. This also happened to me today Colin. Luckily it was a warm-down rather than the HM that I had just rowed. I hard...

Re: The Pete Plan etc

^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ - nicely done! It was horrid Ian. I find full-on HMs so challenging mentally. I made it far worse by telling myself I only needed 10K for Dog Days, so I could stop at that point if I wanted to. How I carried on after 10K I don't know. The only positive is I was 2 minutes faster ...

The Pete Plan etc

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220825/eae20489dcfa73f946d27fe336df56b2.jpg I didn’t hold 120bpm. I didn’t feel anything close to fresh. But I did do it. I did do it faster than last time. And I did get some useful Nonathlon points….if they can ever be said to be useful. I’m going to lie down no...

Re: Nonathlon 2023

You can plug a USB stick into the PM5 and copy a workout to it from the PM5 menus, Colin. Then plug it into a PC and synch the USB log with C2 log using the Concept2 Utility app - https://www.concept2.com/service/softwa ... t2-utility

Re: New Challenge - Workout of the Day (WOD) Week Challenge

Thanks for setting things up again, Jon. I sort of discovered the WOD recently, have participated in some of them, and find the honorboard amusing, fun to check my position in my agegroup and country for instance. I've never really looked at them and didn't realise there was an honour board for the...

New Challenge - Workout of the Day (WOD) Week Challenge

September 5–11 Concept2 have introduced a new challenge to the calendar - "Take part in a week of different workouts in our new WOD Week Challenge! Concept2 releases a new Workout of the Day (WOD) every day. For this challenge, you just need to complete the WOD on at least five days of WOD Wee...

Re: The Pete Plan etc

5/4/3/2/1k at r18/20/22/24/26 1:30r today. I enjoy this one as the rating rises and the intervals shrink [emoji846]. Nice steady pace increases….until the last interval which was strangely fast and easy. r26 is my friend. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220823/09b37a0cc3e0ad18003bf017ce0c7a7f.jpg...

Re: The Pete Plan etc

I wasn’t feeling it at all yesterday, but needed to get some meters i. The Board for Dog Days so forced myself through a very steady one hour with a focus on nothing but keeping HR within UT and hitting stroke rate. Wasn’t too bad a session. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220823/8948d66acce882c2...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Sat down to get a head-start on Week 4 of the Dog Days of Summer with a one-hour paddle. Half-way through, I realized I could up my pace a bit to threaten my SB. Turned into a PB even after starting my sprint a bit too early and having to HD very briefly at the 1:45 mark. Logical brain kicked in an...

45 FreeSpirits have made it through week 3 (there may be some stragglers as late results are posted). The Meterboard icons have been refreshed.

Re: Dog Days of Summer

Likewise. I scraped over the line with 30,033 but have no idea where I'll find the time and energy for an extra 10km this week. Hopefully you can just plug away most days this week and get it done Mr. P I am trying to convince myself that a HM is part of the way to go this week. I am failing to be ...

Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club

Hello everybody, I haven't posted here in probably a couple of years but I wanted to share this milestone because it has some significance, to me at least, beyond being a big round number (you don't have to make the million meter milestones exact, do you?) https://i.imgur.com/nhKHQWl.jpg I purchase...

The Pete Plan etc

Somehow managed to convince myself that the Hour of Power was the thing to do today. My target was 14,000m but I was set to allow myself to back of if needed in order to bag the metres for Dog Days and Nonathlon points - not the best mental attitude really! Anyway, hit a pace just ahead of 2:08 from...

Re: The Pete Plan etc

That’s a great session Spider [emoji1303] I’ve been away for the weekend, so no time on the erg. Now I’m in catch-up mode for Dog Days, so a steady 3x20min to add some meters. The aim was to watch the HR, but crept into ErgZone amber in the middle interval. Probably an all-out 60mins tomorrow if I’m...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

Crew so far: Kevin Fred Jon For those of you who are thinking about it. There is absolutely no pressure in terms of your performance, any time which helps to fill a boat makes a massive impact on the boat's score. So the important thing is that you put in a score each month. I personally find the ev...

Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

I’m pleased to say that the IRL will run again this year. Is anyone interested in forming a team? We need at least 8 and preferably 10 rowers to compete in 8 events ranging from 500m to 10k spread over September 2022 to April 2023. All events are weighted based on age and gender, so all are very wel...

Well done for squeezing it in Rob. I am going to focus on the longer events over the next two weeks to get the meters and also some Nonathlon points (hopefully). 60 FreeSpirits have made it through the first two weeks as things stand. The Meterboard icons will be refreshed when I get a moment. =D> =D>

Re: The Pete Plan etc

Hard weights session yesterday - the first for a few weeks. Focus was on hamstrings, lats and glutes which left me with major DOMS today, so a gentle 30min in the bike was called for.

Re: The Pete Plan etc

Sorry to hear about the HD Ian. The next one will be better. Good to se you are keeping cooler Spider. Today I demonstrated how not to do a RowAlong mid-tier session. To start with I messed up the warm up and got completely out of sync with the video so had to start again. Then I programmed the wron...
