As far as I can tell, all the PM4 does (and I imagine the PM3 is the same) is to take your HR at the end of each interval and take a straight average of the end interval rates, rounded down to the next unit. I don't think it holds your maximum HR during the interval. It's not exact, but should give ...

We now have one boat less floated than the Banana Boat and we need extra participants! So let's all get our family members to have a go. My 16 year old son Jonathan had an attempt at this month's challenge and did a time of 2:49.3. We now have two people in boat XIII. C'mon folks, there's beer at st...

Completed my 3MM this week.

As far as I know, even Concept II UK give you something for that.

When are we going to get the US awards system introduced?

Gooner what happened to that last metre - 21096 doesn't count in my book you know!! Yes Neil, I noticed that too. Some kind of reverse snobbery? [Anyone can do a HM, but it takes real restraint to stop 1m short] As the C2 target was 21K, not HM, you qualify for the summer solstice anyway, but what ...

Well, my half day didn't quite materialise as planned. :x Finally left the office around four and got involved in "dad the taxi" duty as soon as I got home. Managed to get on the erg around 6:30 and decided to do the HM without a warm up beforehand. I managed to stay under 2:00 pace for th...

Handling down seems to be a common problem. I gave up just over half way through a HM attempt.

Mind you, attempting a HM at three in the afternoon in the Algarve in June was probably not my greatest plan ever!

I´m going to stick to a few gentle paddles until I get back home.

30R21

I'm off to Portugal today and decided to have my first ever attempt at doing 30R20. I thought I had paced it absolutely right and had about ten strokes to spare at the end. I obviously miscounted as my average came out at 21 SPM  (Splits 20/20/21/21/23). The place I'm going to had a Model C th...
