Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

I will wait for the McNally row to complete and then we can agree a 'factor' to be used to calculate scores. I normally aim to give the winning boat around half of the points of a typical CTC event. Watch this space for my recommendation. Jon The tool is awarding 50 points for the top boat this yea...

Re: February CTC: Sprint Sandwich

I'm really bummed, I did the CM Feb 14 challenge, but didn't realize I didn't have until the end of the day to post it. I was trying to finish all the challenges this year, and it's super disheartening to fail on challenge #2. The other 12 are the heart of the CTC Rob. You can still focus on those,...

what training have free spirits been doing today?

Another Zoomergos session today. This one run by Sir Matt Pinsent no less! 2/4/6/6/4/2min r22/24 2:00r. Aim to be able to maintain pace throughout.r22 for first half and r24 for second half of each interval. I really enjoyed this. Watching a multiple gold winning Olympian on an ergo is an eye opener...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

My standard 3x10min with ratings increasing from 18-24 to 22-28. The aim is to get quickly to AT and then stay around there. I pushed a bit too hard and so strayed above AT quite a bit. Enjoyable though. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240206/dc1f5c8a8ac53ad139d893c08d7109a6.jpg Sent from my iPho...

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

I think Frans has been having some issues with his account, that may be what has been confusing things.

EDIT - I can see Frans has rejoined the FS team with a new name: F.Vliegenberg.

Re: January Revolutions Challenge - 2024

Not sure that I _enjoyed_ the January Revolutions this year, but it certainly kept me busy: 47,180 Calories, 830,000m (new monthly PB b7 180k!), minimum 21,097m per day. How did everyone else get on? Well done Mike. Amazing stats! As expected I didn't get anywhere near - not even half complete for ...

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

No problem, Jon. I could calculate things myself of course, but your webpage has made me lazy. So, instead of looking up what the points should be I'll wait for you. I think the right scores are somewhat a minor problem in the world at the moment. Verstuurd vanaf mijn FP3 met Tapatalk I'm starting ...

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

340's seem really high. The Jan challenge only had 193 boats (155 floated), so it doesn't seem from my reading of the post back in Jan 2023 that you could get more than 192 pts. I mean, I'm not complaining, haha. That’s correct. Something has gone wrong. I have a sinking feeling that as the CTC fol...

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

I've started a new year in the board. Always slightly a bit more work, adding columns to the running totals sheet as well, but it's there. First of all a question for Jon: are these scores correct?? I don't know exactly how things are calculated anymore, there are a lot of participants this month, ...

That's a good session Spider. I wouldn't have a hope of keeping track of the splits to be able to -ve them all!

I'm still mostly plodding on with 3x10 r20 sessions at the moment, so not posting them here.
