Re: The MOVEO 1000 km Project

Good luck Plummy. An incredible challenge  Have you worked out how many calories you will be burning each day? 10 minutes rest an hour for 15 hours a day doesn't leave much time for eating :-k

Re: Do we need a new kit collation date?

1 x XXL performance t shirt for me please. Maybe a XL polo or XL t-shirt as well but I don't think the discount applies to these as the 2-11 price is the same as 1.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thanks for all the congrats. First split registered as 2:14 which I thought was a bit slow as I normally pull around 2:05 for a hard start. I realise now that it was the reaction time. Not sure how long that equates to but as you say Thomas, reaction time is probably about 0.2 secs. Anyway, decided ...

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

I noticed that and have no idea why at all. I can probably hack the database to give you a better scale though ;) Later: done - weirdly you had just 500m on the missing day. Your name rings a bell, so maybe you were one of the random people I deleted to see how it coped in the early mucking around....

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

Thomas, Great work on Meterboard 2... Well done =D> =D> =D> =D> Not so much a bug but a query really. Just wondered why I show as having done minus 1,145,740 metres on 14th Dec then plus 1,161,330metres on 15th December instead of what I actually rowed which was the difference between the two (15,59...

Re: Marathons, ultras and other crazy talk

Just rowed my first marathon. I didn’t do any specific training other than a couple of HMs and a few long rows but turned to the Eddie Fletcher Marathon Plan for guidance on pacing. My rowing HRmax is around 158bpm, which is much lower than the traditional 220-age value of 167, and using a conservat...

Re: NEEDED: Programmer to recreate meterboard

Thomas, I'm sure that there are lots of freespirits out there who, like me, would miss the meterboard on a daily basis if we were to loose it. Also like me, they would probably help if they could. I have very basic (no pun intended ) programming skills that are probably of no use but I do know...

Housenation UK - Lee Harris podcast. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/housenation-uk-lee-harris/id431886208?mt=2 Modern chart music and classic anthems in the mix. Some episodes better than others but usually over an hour with plenty of drum and bass. Won't be everyones taste - but does it for me.

Re: December CTC: 3x2k/3´ slowest rep to count

First rep felt comfortable so I thought I might have been too conservative but really feeling the burn at the end of the third rep so I think I paced this about right at 1.8 secs quicker than my 5k pace.

Stan, Well done on the sub 7:20. I had to pull out at the last minute. Didn't feel right on the warm up machine. Checked my HR and realised I was having one of my Atrial Fibrillation episodes. Back to normal now but feeling very disillusioned.

Mighty impressive Dave ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ Did my second HM of the season today and dragged myself over the line in a new PB of 1:29:45. Butt cheeks screaming at me to stop for the last 30 minutes and I had to slap myself in the face to keep going. Can't imagine doing 5 in 8 days  :? :twist...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thanks Stan. Before I started rowing I had a treadmill test in December last year. I got up to 171bpm and held it for 45secs before having to stop  I know max HR is different for different exercises but 15bpm seems a lot. I'm particulary interested because I occassionally get episodes of Atri...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thanks Grant & Alan. You're both right. :) I'm toying with the idea of doing a HM PB attempt. Won't be able to row much next week so I might go for it this weekend. See how I feel after the PP Pyramid tomorrow. My HR was low at first on this row because I was cruising the first 30mins,...
