1 min 40 OFF!! - huge chunk. Well done Wolfie. =D> For my part "YYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!" AT LAST I've broken 15k for 60 mins. Having done 14993 and 14989 in recent attempts, I gave myself a days rest yesterday and set off steady 2.01 split for the first 12 minutes then took approx 1 seco...

First ever attempt at 10 x 250!! (In fact - first attempt at 10 x anything  ) Sorry Gooner - bumped you down to FS2, but don't worry Bangers always comes along and rains on my parade. Quite enjoyed that really, it makes a change for the pain to be so short lived - as Jessica Red says "it...

Although highly wimpish in comparison to Mr Wakeford's efforts above (awesome by the way!!)  .... ...I've just taken 14 seconds off my 10k pb - from 39:18.4 down to 39:04.5  Some nice nonathlon points and next stop sub 39 minutes [-o< Not bad for a little lightweight I though...

Well, I'm all in for bare breasts!!   As for distinctive kit - many of the FS guys and gals have that already. Nick stood out a mile in his (although he is about 12 feet tall) Maybe orange/blue/white underpants worn over the track suit bottoms - SUPERMAN style for the men. Same...

I kinda agree with Gooner here - but here's a suggested twist: why don't we add all our metres to Team Canada?? That'll really take the shine off their "win" and we will also be "the winners" as well as making the metre total is so silly (first vs second) that a virtual team comp...

Although already reported on the EIRC thread I suppose I should plonk my new 2000m PB of 7:14.4 (4.1 second improvement) in this arena also.

Some nice Nonathlon points aswell

Well done to all those above me on this thread with new PB's - I can see 2007 is going to be strewn with them :D

Thanks one and all for your support up to the EIRC and pats on the back since. All I really wanted to achieve was the experience and hope to get close to a pb. I got a PB 4 days before and strained a few muscles in my stomach slightly so it was touch and go even as late as Saturday night whether I w...

Paul,
Shell pm'd me with a good luck wish for Sunday and apologised that she couldn't make it as she was off skiing for a week - as of about now!

Suspect she won't be putting any more metres in Jan for FS

I don't know - these part timers

Wel done Stan, it's nice to bag one early in the year - makes you think the year ahead may hold many more =D> I decided to have a 2k try out ahead of Sundays embarrassment after a hard 17k last night (bailed HM attempt) Managed a huge 0.2s improvement down to 7:18.5 =D> I suppose if that's a pb the ...

EIRC

Against my better judgement, I've entered the EIRC (Mens 40+ LWT) and GUESS WHAT - it's the first damned race at 9.30 :x :x Normally at 9.30 on a Sunday I'd just about be having my weetiepops at that time - maybe. Ah well, I suppose I could look at it from a "get it out of the way" stylee....

Paul, The Sunnto chest belt heart rate monitor supplied with the Model E transmits up to a few metres and is picked up automatically by the PM4. It shows your real time heart rate on the screen whilst you row and after your row it will display your heart rate on the PM4 against the splits you set (o...

I recently added my wife and it only took a couple of hours for her to appear on the table but I did have to pm JLemon with an e-mail address to get her metres added to the current challenge.

Hi Paul, I bought a Model E last November-ish after using a model C exclusively for 3 years. Initially I thought I'd made a mistake as all my times went backwards but within a couple of weeks I was on a par again and have since moved onwards and upwards. Oddly enough until two days ago I'd never use...

Why is it that no matter what time of day it is or what direction you are travelling - the sun always seems to be able to shine right in your eyes in the gap between the 2 sun visors in your car??

Jessica - not sad really. I've booked a cruise on a bloody great ship that has a "fully stocked gym" - EXCEPT for any ergs and I'm quite disappointed. Apparently they are not stable enough with the undulations (nice word) of the sea.. but they DO have running machines :?: :?: It would seem...

Got my wife to join our happy team - only the 3rd time she's ever sat on the rower and only about the 4th time she's "done excercise" specifically - although she would argue that looking after up to 8 kids is hard enough anyway (she's a childminder). The metre count won't be great but unde...

New PB of 7674m for 30 mins this evening (previously 7625). Big fat 5 points on the Nonathlon but first PB of 2007 :) :)

I'm finally beginning to get to grips with this Model E - NOW IF ONLY I COULD GET 15K IN 60 MINS I'D BE REALLY HAPPY! :x

Mike, I understand the dilemma but am a little surprised to hear it from Billy Whizz himself. One of the reasons I didn't enter the BIRC is because I KNEW i'd be virtually last so "didn't see the point in embarrasing myself". However, with all the support from the travelling horde I was ma...
