Thanks, Dave. I'm feeling the after-effects today. It took a lot more out of me than I realized.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
125 is a good all purpose df setting in my opinion.
I managed a 10k PB today, df around 130.

Re: AUG CTC - 'Dog Days Double Double'
My most recent 2k pace was 1:43.2 in mid April. Either I have gotten much faster since then or you should target a few seconds faster than your most recent 2k test.

Re: AUG CTC - 'Dog Days Double Double'
Hi Tako, I'm a lightweight now (at least for the moment). I don't know how the ctc boats distribute the lightweights.

Got a first try in today: 7:44.4 at 1:41.0. Will post the rest of the details later. The second 831 is a real pain. Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Once again I am reminded of how much of rowing - particularly long distance rowing - is mental. I wanted to stop a half marathon 1500m in today, and stuck it out for a PR by 38.4 seconds.

I gave this a shot, but sprints 1k and below are not my forte, and for the past 2 months I have added 25k of bike commuting 5 days a week to my 21k of rowing, so at any given time my legs are pudding. Hoping for a better showing next month. Cheers, Colin 4:43.9 1,500m 1:34.6 413 1721 35 1:32.2 500m ...

Re: May CTC - 3 x 1k / 5 min rest
I just gave this a go. I was trying to put some distance between myself and Tako and almost bit off more than I could chew, slowing considerably in the last interval, but good enough for position 1 in boat 1 for now. My overall pace was 1:42.8, a bit faster than my 2k personal best of 1:43.2 from la...

Re: May CTC - 3 x 1k / 5 min rest
Did my first attempt today! Initial goal was to take it easy, but that turned out to be difficult due to an inner urge to go faster after the first 1k https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190503/33f6a2dc797a28fe8a19d4a448091aff.jpg My PB pace for the 2k is 1:43.4, so not sure what to expect for futur...

Re: 2018/19 Summary and Aspirations for 2019/20
Thanks for getting this started, Dave. I have not erged regularly since 2006 (when I erged about 2.6 million meters as a 24 year old), with a few meters here and there, and a season of about 200k in 2014 or so. I struggled with some hip injuries in 2007/8, a broken foot in 2009/10, broken ribs twice...
