Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

That's a serious improvement. =D> It also puts pressure on your 10k time pro-rata really messing up your metathlon ambitions

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Some impressive results above. ^O^ Having convinced myself I should just worry about distance before season end, temptation got the better of me. Smashed the 13000m barrier for the hour of pain improving by 277m to get to 13151m at 2:16.8/500 ave. :) I think that's near my limits for now as the hear...

Re: Introducing the FS Meta-nonathlon 2015

This looks interesting and could be another element of motivation to keep on rowing I was planning to try to improve some of my SBs before this season ends, but now I'm not so sure that's a good idea. All I would be doing is raising the bar for myself for this challenge next season. #-o Decisions, d...

But the site's home page suggests we are still trying to row Pi or is there a different challenge I've missed somewhere?

Re: nonathlon 2014

Kellie you are doing well, In a way, when comparing myself to other FS rowers, I find myself to be in the lower rankings. I think of myself as a beginner, even though I have had the rower for a few years my stats show my inadequacies. I may have done some of the longer distances but the results show...

Re: 2014 weight loss thread

I realise I now have no idea what my weight is doing. The needle on my bathroom scales wasn't aligned with the zero, but at about 0.75kg, so I moved it and promptly the scales said I'd lost over 3kg (If that were true I'd be happy, but based on my waistline, it isn't). So somehow I need to calibrate...

Re: Meter board banter

Don't worry Boris, I can't keep up this amount of metres for much longer. My body is already thinking of rejecting me. It's more I woke up to the fact in March that I could, just, make a million for the season if I put my back into it.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

I'm not at all fast with my rowing so for any lengthy distance mental distraction is the key. Having done a couple of FMs, I can use the paceboat to see if I'm getting better, without overpushing things. I find myself dividing the distance into chunks and doing all sorts of weird mental arithmetic t...

No idea how anyone could row sub 2mins for any part of a HM. That's impressive. I can barely manage that for a feeble 550m

Re: World Erg Challenge

Just about got through the FM distance. Even better I shaved 15 minutes of my previous best time. :D Had hoped to get below 3hours 30 mins, but numb backside starting causing too many distractions :( Will have to do better when the Global Marathon challenge thing comes back next month.

Video myself, and link it here - I'd get banned for offensive material  Paul has described one symptom of my rowing with the handle. Looks like I need to watch a video. As for heart rate, I've followed general websites which seems to indicate an exercise max rate of 75-80% of the max rate, max...

Re: Beginners

Although I've had my Concept 2 for a number of years, it's mostly gathered dust. Judging by many of the stats posted to the board, compared to my own results, I have to consider myself a beginner. My results are improving, as this is the longest sustained period I've rowed, and my fitness must be im...
