Re: Name that Film

Well, I liked the quote.

The quoted he and she are a famous pair, even mentioned in a song.
The movie is from 1946, but there was a remake in 1978.

It was not Elmer Gantry. :(

Clint Eastwood was 39 years old when he made this film.

Re: Crash-b website gone?!?

John, I just spoke with Concept 2 in Vermont. Kate told me they have received a few calls asking about CRASH-Bs. She assumes the CRASH-B folks have been busy with the Head of the Charles, (especially since Grobi was there 8) ) and have not gotten around to renewing the web site. She would expect the...

Re: Name that Film

Paul, sorry I was so obscure. :( The film was Father of the Bride (the original). How about an easy one right down the middle. (Does that expression hold up for cricket? :? ) "It was beauty killed the beast." btw, today was also my Father's birthday; he would have been 94. (sigh) Peter

Paul, the quote is spoken to Spencer Tracy.

Bette Davis and Spencer Tracy did appear together, but in a different movie. However, Bette Davis and Elizabeth Taylor were not in the same movie.
