Re: March CTC - 6k
By taking things steadily, Lesley, you’re giving yourself the best chance of a sustained recovery.
It won’t be too long before you go steaming past
Keep up the slow and sensible road to getting the best out of yourself.
Wishing you all the best.

Re: Awesome Nonathlon History
The “sea of purple and blue” may well be more extensive as I took part in the Nonathlon from 2007 to 2010 using the name Gremlin.
Jon, you will not have been aware of this. Keep going with your experiments on the table. The colour scheme is very striking.

Thanks, Jon.
I hope to improve my 2k time this season enough to graduate to the purple shade!
Your efforts with the table are greatly appreciated.

Re: 2019/20 Summary and Aspirations for 2020/21
If this season turns out to be as successful as the last one, I shall be very happy. When lockdown began in late March and the gym closed, I took the plunge and successfully bid for a C2 on eBay. It’s a Model D with PM3, little used and in good order. This season I shall continue with the Nonathlon,...

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?
In the recently concluded 1000m. WRVIS competition
I managed a time of 4:01.5 which shaved 0.2 seconds from my
existing Australian record in the 85-89 Lwt. division.
The next task for this month is to do the CTC, and after that, the IRL 10k.
Just need to stay healthy

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?
I'm no great fan of the 2K distance and until last Friday I hadn't done it since October in Adelaide at the Australian Masters Games. However, the IRL/FFMC challenges this month have 2K on the schedule, so I had no choice :!: Things went very well and I've ended up with an SB of 8:30.5 which is 6 se...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Well done, Lesley. You are becoming a force to be reckoned with.
This time last year I did a PB of 285m. for the IRL 1 minute challenge.
Twelve months on, I have made a 6m. improvement for a new PB of 291m.in the current IRL/FFMC challenges.
Hat trick next year

Re: XVII Australian Masters Games
Hi Lesley
Thank you for your comments.
I won’t be going to the AIRC event as I shall be on the bowling green playing for Torquay Bowls Club.
And, by the way, you’re not too slow by any means. From what I’ve seen you’re coming up fast. Well done indeed!

Re: XVII Australian Masters Games
Today Collette won two more Golds in her category doing a time of 8:27.5 in the 2K and 21.1 secs in the 100m. I followed her example with a Gold in the 2K at 8:36.5 (an SB) and a Gold in the 100m. at 20.8 I rowed in the 83-85 category. On the first of the two days the Rowing took place at the same t...

Re: XVII Australian Masters Games
Firstly, some very sad news. Collette told me today that Clare can’t compete at the Games because she has had to leave for the UK because her mother, Gillian, has not long to live. This news knocked me sideways - a great shock. However, the show goes on. Today Collette rowed 4:07.9 for the 1000m. in...
