Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Had a look at my PBs today and found out that I should have a closer inspection of my 60 minutes (15347m/1:57.3) as it's a little dated. Plan was to hold 1:56 pace for 40 minutes and speed up from there. That's how it went: 1) 1:56.0 @ 27 2) 1:56.0 @ 27 3) 1:55.9 @ 27 4) 1:55.2 @ 27 5) 1:54.6 @ 28 6...

Re: Crash B's 02/14/10
Bill, on the cras-b-website they recommend the Sonesta (http://www.sonesta.com/Boston/) and the Marlowe (http://www.hotelmarlowe.com/). Both offer a special rate for the days around the championships of 89 US-$ plus 14.45% tax per night and room, excluding breakfast. Plummy and me are staying at the...

I just emailed them whether it's possible to establish a "Free Spirits IRC" in the team affiliation list. Let's wait, maybe we can start as our own team

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Fantastic rowing Mat, and excellent pacing, you really made the maximum out of it! =D> =D> =D> Enjoy some quiet days of rest now. Lee, well done on going plus 16k! That's simply two consecutive plus 8k/30'! Just one of them would be a huge task (including me), so well done again! =D> =D> =D> After m...

Bill, this looks like a nicely controlled session in the first three reps and a big punch in the last two. I'm sure you had your fun throughout this session

Re: Water Rower vs. Concept2
Thank you guys for your comments :fswink: Buying a used machine cheaply is a good idea! My only concern is the noise at home. I would use the erg on a carpet covered with a rubber floor mat. Any experience amongst you regarding noise and neighbours complaining? Swapping to the waterrower is a strang...

Water Rower vs. Concept2
Hi everybody, the owner of my local gym asked me the other day about my opinion regarding the water rower. He is going to expand the gym and the four model D we currently have are a bit worn so he is thinking of a replacement on this occasion. I tried to persuade him to stick with Concept2 and buy n...

Re: The Pete Plan
Nice set there Bill, with even pacing, although probably too even for your liking (looking at the last rep :fswink: ). That last one must have hurt, so well done for holding it together =D> Looking at your heart rate data you seem to be one of the few persons that can reach high heart rate even in t...

Erik, there's abloutely no reason to be disappointed by your race! 6:21.2 is a time many (including me) can only dream of. And a medal is still a medal :fswink: See it this way: all other possible opponents didn't turn up because they were intimidated beforehand :fswink: Dave, nice hour of power! Ke...

Re: The Pete Plan
Nice waterfall Bill and impressive max. heart rate! Silly question: what is a TE and how do you measure/calculate it?
Escellent improvement Christine, well done! 203m improvement over the hour of power is quite a word! Nice pacing by the way.

Re: Crash B's 02/14/10
Well, anything faster than 6:51.2 I guess I think going sub 6:50 would be great, anything around 6:45 would be excellent for me. But that's a long way to go. I think currently I'm in 6:55 shape.nomugie wrote:Good question.... Peter?JonathanA wrote:Good choice Peter...
