Cheers Fred - more blind luck than anything else. For no other reason than I just heard it:

Re: Name that tune

After a lot of head scratching I came up with a couple of extra Jam songs but I still have no idea if the lyrics fit: Start & A Town Called Malice

I don't know any Jam lyrics but if we can accept random guesses at song titles I can think of:

Eton Rifles
Going Underground

Re: Injuries.....:(

Thanks all. Still on the diet of "baby steps". I had health service physio yesterday who said one set of things then saw a musculo-skeletal specialist at my local GP who poo-poo'd the steroid injection in my hip because he said that my issues are all still L4/L5 nerve related and I need to...

Re: WELCOME to New Members

Welcome to the team Frans, it's great to have you with us. I'm sorry to hear that your old team was liquidated, I knew a few people from that team. You'll never find "over-regulation" here, we're a very relaxed bunch when it comes to participation. At worst you might get a little nudge onc...

Re: Crazy Bear Challenge

My only 100km was done at 2:24. I recall I had no toilet breaks but a few fuel and hydration stops. I also recall with 35km to go actually taking the "in-breath" to say "I can't do this" but seeing that Gooner Neil was way behind me and struggling thought if I quit, it might caus...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Some great efforts here and it's good to see FS'rs still pushing their personal bests. Well done all =D> =D>

P.S. Mike -just for grins, I looked up my best ever monthly total - Feb 2014 with 1,112,329m (650km - pah! lightweight   )

Re: Crazy Bear Challenge

Hi Mike - I should have dipped in much earlier with an "atta-boy" or three for you. Back in the day when I did looney things like this, the team were a major help in getting me to/over the line so it's remiss of me to not return the favour. Awesome effort there sir ^O^ ^O^ - may as well se...

Re: Scottish Tips

I wouldn't take too much advice from a London Cabbie, in fact for that matter, anyone who drives in London, they are much more wired to "me first" than the rest of the country ;-). I spent a weekend in Edinburgh and didn't use the car at all once parked. It's a fabulous city with wonderful...

Re: Scottish Tips

Christine Wojcik (from San Diego) spent a few days in Scotland and they did quite a few castles and there appears to be a few, ahem, distilleries up there...if that's your type of thing.

Re: Name that tune

Young Guns - Go For It (which oddly appeared on a George Michael at the BBC documentary the same day I picked his lyrics) is correct Wolfie. Like you, if you are happy to concede, maybe Fred should throw one up for us - if he's happy to do so?

Re: Name that tune

Fred -you are very close - and I fully understand how you made the error (because I have done the exact same thing). If nobody gets it after these clues in the next 2 days, I'll award the next choice to you anyway (it would be good to have a new "chooser" for a change)

Mrs P is currently listening to some UK 80's stuff downstairs (rather loudly) and this was the first line I heard after logging on:

"Wise guys realize there's danger in emotional ties"

Re: Injuries.....:(

I might have had a bit of a Eureka moment today. 90%+ of my severe pain is on the lower outside of my left hip and mid left glute. I've been telling myself that this can't be disc related because it simply doesn't "feel" like nerve pain, more like a muscle pull/tear pain. I had a scheduled...

Thank you all. I'm having a bad day mentally today - i.e. really in the dumpster about things but the kid words help. Re: Injuries.....:(

Hi guys - I got Mrs P to bring my laptop to me so I could post an update as so many have posted very kinds words. The update is a follows: Dec 19th I had an MRI at the local hospital which I was told was "clear". I also had 5 X-rays and nothing was reported as anomalous. So, several weeks ...
