Re: May ctc - 200 seconds, standing start

Considering extending this to 3:45 to hopefully get a 1000m in, but with a split that records the 3:20 time. Do people think that would be OK? Inevitably last 25S will be dying while I flap around trying to maintain my finishing pace, while staying motivated to maximise the distance over the 200S w...

Re: Rowing Apps - What's Hot and what's not

Here is my input to this First the Kit PM5 Wahoo Kickr HR Band iPhone iPad Garmin Fenix 5 Watch The Apps Erg Data I use ErgData for ad hoc "Just Row" style rows which are typically warm-up/cool-down sessions before other activity. ErgData has it's uses. It syncs nicely with the C2 logbook,...

Re: Foot straps and othe questions

There are a lot of people who are far more qualified to comment than I am, however.... I am a UK size 10.5 and row on position 5. I changed from 4 when I read about making sure that the strap is across the widest part of your foot. What I don't know is why that is the correct position. I agree with ...

Re: Injuries.....:(

Typical. In the week where I wanted to get a good start to the season and tick off a HM, and the week where refereeing start again for me I have messed up my knee doing Bulgarian Split Squats! Just dipped and got shooting pains in my right knee, now can’t bend it properly. Referee training cancelled...

Re: Season Change

I've changed my mind on the Nonathlon. For now the data from 2020-21 is still available, so I have stopped the tools (Nonathlon analyser and Metanonathlon) from switching seasons until the Nonathlon itself also switches. To put things simply, you can still view all of the Nonathlon analysis from las...

I also have no idea about the song. But I also decided to check my signature and it’s still showing my age as 67, even though my profile correctly shows my age as 68. It’s been so long since I updated my signature that I can’t remember how to do it and I have been unable to figure it out. This shou...

Re: Season Change

Thanks Jon for an amazing job so far. Probably just being impatient, but the icons from the marathon / century challenges aren't up yet. The challenge icons should be up and running now Iain. I have also updated the page so that we get the full set of icons at the top of the page - this was missing...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21

We finished the final event with nine out of ten seats filled which is a great effort. The site is quite confusing but I think we finished 8th overall which is also a brilliant result given people have had various struggles through the IRL season. Thanks to all that took part. It remains to be seen ...

Thanks Jon for an amazing job so far. Probably just being impatient, but the icons from the marathon / century challenges aren't up yet. Best wishes Iain Ok - latest update: I think I have fixed the page for individual rowers, which is now showing just 2021 data. I had to hack this a bit because I ...

Thanks Louise - just spotted that one too. I will see if it sorts itself out (which is a distinct possibility) otherwise I will start digging.

Re: Season Change

I've just noticed a couple of things that are not quite right: The "Day Mean" column is wrong on Meterboard3 Clicking on a rower takes you to their individual page, but it is not showing any data for this season. This is probably because it is taking data from Meterboard2 which I have aban...

Woj - yes. Fly wheel must be stationary.

Liefcat - you’ve lost me I’m afraid. There is no pace element to this, it is just a 200 second sprint.

Re: The Pete Plan etc

That looks like a tough session Iain. Good work getting to the end. Spider, this thread has turned into more of a general training session thread so why not stay on here? I already changed the title to include “etc” a while back. I had another crack at a mid-tier Rowalong 5k session today. Interesti...

Great work Jon - we'd be lost without you!! Honestly, Thomas has done an amazing job of setting Meterboard 3 up to handle the season roll-over so well. What he has done is very impressive. =D> ....but Plummy, did you really have to go ahead of me on the Meterboard on Day 1    :evi...

Re: Season Change

OK - I think I have fixed Meterboard 3. Meters are flowing in and the error messages are no longer being displayed. It is of huge credit to Thomas that all of this is working so well in the first year where a season has switched. Just one minor bug in all of that code is very impressive. ^O^ ^O^ ^O^...

Re: Season Change

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21

I have been hit by some kind of virus probably, felt really weak the last couple of weeks. It's not Covid, don't know what it is though. Was hoping to feel a bit better to be able to row this one before the end of the month, but at the moment it doesn't feel very well. Anyway, perhaps I'll do it to...

I'm a convert too. I now use Ergzone for any session which I need to pre-define and only use Ergdata for "just row" session or a quick 2k warm up ahead of a structured session/workout.

Final update of the year before the season rolls over (and hopefully the tool keeps working [-o< ). Well done Paul for topping the table and to Lesley for coming in second despite being held back by injury at the end of the season. http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/images/Shares/metanonathlon2021.jpg

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21

I have been told to stay off the erg, but how much harm can it be to do 500m? Please let me know if we’re short of a full team and I’ll hop on the erg before month end. Paul V At the moment we have 5 out of 8 seats filled. Peter, Fred, Colin, Richard and you have not rowed yet. I'd be surprised if ...
