Re: CTC for March

Well done Stan . Nice to see you on the move again ^O^ I'll second that Stan =D> Don't worry about the pace feeling hard at the moment. Coming back from injury, anything is bound to feel tough, but you'll soon build the pace back up to where you were  I'd allocated today to take a run at t...

Well done Laurence - that's a great achievement, and in little over a year too =D> =D> Even more so given your brief sabbatical towards the end of last year  =D>

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Plugging away on PBs Slight improvement 2k Was 6:46.3 -> 6:44.3 Tired legs - currently pushing miles so pleased Any improvement on a 2k PB is a major achievement, and 2s is certainly more than a "slight improvement" =D> =D> The splits look really positive too, and with all of the last 100...

Well done on the mile Si, and I have to agree with the posts above in that the sub-7' 2k cannot be far away =D> If you can't wait to grow a pair, it may be worth checking on E-bay - it's amazing what people sell on there  After a week doing various unplanned stuff designed to get used to change...

Re: CTC for March

Why don't you try your "new" style with your "old" DF which should actually lead to a net reduction in quad workload? Thanks for your input Doc - I'll give that a go. I'm planning a 30'r25 tomorrow (unconventional, I know, but there is an element of method in my madness!), and w...

Re: CTC for March

I will work on this. 1st. goal is to do it all in 1:45 pace then 1:44 and 1:42  I'm in a similar position to you on this Mikkel. I've been working on changing my technique since Manchester, and whilst it is going really well on the low rate stuff, I just cannot hold a reasonable pace for f...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

That's one of the problems with this sport Peter - the longer you keep improving your PB's, the smaller they become. They are still just as sweet whether they are large or small and arguably sweeter if they are only tiny like 0.7s - because it shows you had the determination to drive through the pa...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Bit of a special day for me today... It is one year to the day that I first sat on Plummy's rower. And what a year that has been. Highs, lows, handle downs, personal bests, a gold medal... A changed body - 45 (+/-) pounds lighter!!! Crikey!!! It feels so good to be back at fighting weight. New ward...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Last night saw me rugby training for the first time in 20 years! The training session went well, albeit on a very heavy, muddy pitch, but there were a few aches this morning from muscles that are not used in this very linear sport of ours! This morning then, was very much of a recovery row...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

New 30' PB for me this afty. :D 7252m. Up by 183mts. Helped by the new PM3 that I now have fitted. The 'projected mts' section helps with knowing where I am with pacing. Four weeks now till I go for a new 2K. Well done on the PB - 183m is a huge leap =D> =D> Know what you mean about the P...
