Re: Row2Rio - anyone up for it?

I can only assume they got distracted by a bar somewhere selling cheap booze. Either that or they didn't get their totals in in time.

I'll keep totalling up the meters before Rio, see if we can row back to Scotland again to pick up some Irn Bru and haggis.

Re: Row2Rio - anyone up for it?

Wow we've been eating our Shredded Wheat in March! The total is now 10,589Km!! Which means we managed 4,148km in March alone!!! There were some huge numbers going on - loads of 200,000+ and a few 400,000+!! It seems the March Madness and Virtual Challenge has lit a fire under the team! What does all...

Re: Row2Rio - anyone up for it?

Hey boatmates, I'm going to update Scottish Rowing tomorrow with the meters covered in March. I'm hoping we'll be almost there, and will only need a couple of weeks to get there.

Re: March ctc - 9 x 300m / 30"r

I had my last attempt at this yesterday, after a month filled with illness and injury. Managed to get it down to 08:39.6 - which I'm happy with.

Could be happier - but happy enough.

Next month looks 'fun'.

Re: Indoor rowers league 2014/15, formerly Challenge Series

Good luck tomorrow John. Yeah, I was really looking forward to the 10K after about week4 of Sam's plan. But then the chest infection kicked in followed by putting out my lower back again over the weekend. Had a really bad attempt last week, really hoping tomorrow's will be a bit more like my normal...

Re: Indoor rowers league 2014/15, formerly Challenge Series

I'm leaving it until tomorrow, last minute as usual, as I need my back to recover as much as possible before I attempt.

How many challenges do people do? All I do is the CTC and the IRL. What else is out there?

Re: Feedback wanted - video

Hi, Fortunately, that's something I can do. I took the video, and stepped through it frame by frame. And it's pretty much a 1:1 stroke/recovery in this example. Below is one stroke slowed down to 1/5th of the speed. If you're going to count the frames, remember there are 25 frames a second - but I c...

If buy them - the very fact it's not auto updated may be a bug in their program! Plus, they're really receptive people. I've never had such friendly, personal service from anyone else.

The date thing is a good reason to hook into Ergdata - it spots it before you do. Great for gym machines that no one cares about.

Flights and hotel booked, so I'll be there, even if it's just for the social side. Pauyl V We could do an 'arms only' 500m - just for fun, and just in case your knee hasn't healed... I'm going to base it around a 4 hour drive from Glasgow. So 12:00 start would mean I could leave at 08:00.

Happy to throw my machine in the back of the car if another it required.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Fantastic stuff! I can't imagine doing 50k - my backside is in agony after a HM - so another 18k would probably do me in!

And a great time too - always interesting when your body lets you know there's MORE in there rather than running on fumes!!!

Re: March CTC

Had a bad session this aftenoon doing 4x750's - which I intended to repeat this evening. That was even worse. So rather than giving up for the evening, I decided to venture forth with this month's CTC. a surprisingly good time taking into account how bad the 750's were!! http://s17.postimg.org/51w6m...

I'm intrigued to think what the pacing should be for this. 2k-2 maybe?

I figure the first few should go ok that way, but the last few may hurt...

First attempt on Sunday I think.
