Re: September CTC: Tribesports Ten
Just had my first attempt at this. 2865. Needless to say I love this month's challenge. Wimped out a bit, so looking forward to my next attempt. Hoping I can hold 1:45 and sprint on the next one, then 1:44 and sprint by the end of the month. If I can a mange 1:43 I'll be happy as someone who though ...

Re: Row2Rio - anyone up for it?
Just to resurrect this one - especially as Rio has been well and truly happening... I got a nice email from Scottish Rowing today: Hello and CONGRATULATIONS on being one of the first 5 teams to complete the distance to Rio. As one of the first 5 teams to complete the distance you win all 3 prizes fo...

I think I've posted each of the Mm marks on here (or on Facebook). Happy to find them all and re post though. That'll make for an exciting thread!

Every day I get the email from Concept 2 saying what the WOD is. I read it, I smile, I delete it.
I should really unsubscribe but i like reading the variety.

400 today wasn't the big improvement I'd hoped for, but it'll come.
From 1:10.5 to 1:09.7
End score is quite nice. From 5:42.1 to 5:35.9
Hope I can shave another few seconds off before the end of the month.

Welsh Indoor Champs
Hey folks. Are the Welsh Indoors worth going to? I've been looking at flights, which are really quite frustrating! I think I'd need to fly from Glasgow, and back into Edinburgh, which seems a bit odd... But I'd only consider putting myself through travel chaos if they were a good event. On a par wit...

Good effort all the same zootMutant! I'm awful at adding time - numerically dyslexic when it comes to adding to in 60s!! I've had a couple of improvements to my times, but I won't update the CTC score until I do a 400 tomorrow. 100 - down 0.2 to 16.5 200 - down 0.9 to 32.8 300 - down 1.7 to 50.6 If ...

Nice improvement Paul. I nudged my 100m up by 0.2 yesterday - but I won't update my score until I've had a bash at some of the others too. I've joined a 30 minute RowPro tonight at 19:30 - so I might jump into the garage early and try the 300, see if I can improve that too.

I had my first attempt at this tonight. I've posted photos of the screen on the CTC Facebook page - but here's how it went: 100 - 16.7sec - rest 2min 200 - 33.7sec - rest 4 min 300 - 52.3sec - rest 5 min 400 - 1:10.5 CTC Score - 5:43.1 This was at 21:00 - 10 hours after I'd gone hard on a 5 x 1500 r...

Re: My simple training planner document
Carried on working on this today. I'll keep adding sessions to the categories as I come across them, but this is the current list of session choices. My simple training planner document
So a while back I asked if there was anything out there that I could use to create a training plan from a list of existing sessions. It seems nothing existed. So, knowing nothing about Excel, I've made my own. The idea is, that at the top, you select what kind of training you want to do, then in the...

Sorry folks, really hoped to have gone faster than 10:12 for my slowest rep. Left this one too late. If I'd done it earlier in the month I would have done it again with a better attack and hopefully got all three at 10:04:00.

I am normally a bit organised, in that I have a Pete plan spreadsheet and aim to get through those Mark, what kinda spreadsheet is it? I know I could probably find the answers by doing a bit of research, but do you get a bracket to mount your phone on top of the PM4 and how many people can take part in a single race? Also, how much does an iPhone cable cost (presumably a lot more than an Android one  )? Not sure about the an...

How does LiveRowing work John? Is it an adaptation of RowPro or an entirely separate product? It's an entirely different product. I haven't encountered any actual LiveRowing yet - but what it does offer is the ability to challenge people. So I can row a 1K - challenge you to do it, and then we'd se...
