Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

He he, let's see. Not feeling an urge to try again in the near future. Using RowPro I had three pace boats "chasing/helping" me. 2:40 the slowest pace I could see OK 2:30 the pace I think I should be able to 2:25 to push myself, and it helped as I chased it down after each break, helping w...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Today I did my first ever FM in 3h 23min 23s just below 2:25 pace with some minor breaks in between. Thanks to RowPro I did not need to press buttons in the breaks to keep the PM alive :-) Was motivated by several things to give the FM a try: 1) had done a HM every Saturday for 3 weeks so wanted to ...

Re: May ctc - BW Rowing sprint monster

Haven't sat on the erg for over a month ....Anyway, not really the type of session you want as a reintroduction but I was going to get it done however slow and will get back on the Pete Plan and back up to speed as soon as possible, hopefully [emoji1] Good to see you back! Was already wondering whe...

Re: May ctc - BW Rowing sprint monster

Neck is better, knee not really, which made me try a new sprint technic with reduce leg bending during catch.
Interesting result, which put me right into my favourite boat FS II :-)
At least for now ;-)

Re: 2017 Weight Loss Thread

Hi Paul
Happy to hear that you like the book as well.
Great to read on your last post that you managed to turn the momentum proving that rapid weight gain (due to a great weekend) isn't sustainable either ;-)
Good luck with your back. Hopefully we will see you back on the Erg soon.

Madchester 2017...

What a great weekend!!! My colleagues were teasing me on Friday when they heard where I was travelling and why; meeting up with people I had never met before. And to be honest I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was really a great experience and I am sure to meet up next time again. Thanks a lot ...

Re: April ctc - The Sub 7 Sprint Spike

Oxygen please..... I hate sprints! So therefore I programmed the 7 intervals with only 2 pauses. 4min before the 777 and 3 after; now knowing I should have done it the other way around as I started dying in the 7th interval. Following splits and stroke rate: 1:36.3 30 1:34.3 31 1:36.8 30 1:36.9 28 1...

Re: April ctc - The Sub 7 Sprint Spike

What about skipping rest between two consecutive 177m rows? Would give a proper flying start and leave more rest around the long peace? Illegal?

April ctc - The Sub 7 Sprint Spike

Had never tried the game before. let's see whether we can float a boat or two :-D

PS would it be allowed as a counter joke to add a fake score??? And fill many many boats??

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

Look like it cannot access the data base, as I can see the page and page render seems to work, but no names nor meters.
Confirmed by following: "Free Spirits have rowed 0 metres today.
Day 334 of the 2017 Season (31 days remaining).
Total metres: 0"

Re: March ctc - Bob Spenger memorial row, 5142m from a standing start

Thanks Felton and Dan! With these Impressive results you killed my desire to give the C2CTC another try! Although I have to be honest that it wasn't very strong to start with as my legs feel pretty tired at the end of the 10k Mud Challenge. Planned to do the 25th 10k today. I will stick to my slow l...
