Re: August CTC: 100 - 500 - 100 pyramid r1'

9:29.2 for my first effort (9:14.3 last time I have a record of doing it in July 2021) - felt tough all the way through to be honest...(ok, the first 100 wasn't too bad ;-) )

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?

As Jon says- welcome back. Every journey starts with that single step! - again ;-)

I managed an SB at 2k on Saturday (not that I'd done anything bar glorified warm-ups at that distance) getting down to 8:14 and change (SB last season was 8:08 - so maybe do-able to scrape ahead of that).

Re: Meterboard error

Not sure where to put this so opted for here...I definitely rowed more than 1900m on June 19th (Juneteenth challenge) and I have no icon. Was I suppose to sign up for it on the C2 site (I think I assumed it was automatic)?

The title is Something Stupid so Peter is the most correct to be fair (given the thread theme). :-)

The above lines were the third verse - these are the opening lines:

Heard this on a Juke Box Hero quiz on the cruise I've just been on - couldn't find it as being used before:

To make the meaning come through

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?

I'd forgotten Id put the above post on here but kind of handy because, I managed a new SB for 1k yesterday. Normally I wouldn't post but it was actually a 2 year SB beating last season's SB ( 3:51.5 ) by 1.4s down to 3:50.1 - so happy there's a little bit of life in my legs. Two hours later I did th...

Re: Log cards for CONCEPT 2 Model D PM3

As Jon says, the lack of a log card should not be a deal breaker because the PM records the previous workouts anyway (up to 30 I think but it's a long time since I worked without a card). The card is for moving between machines to record info and also if you have your own favourite workouts set up. ...

Re: Name that tune

Plummy, I can't place this at all but does the title contain the word ' son ' as it does rhyme with 1951? No - sorry Jill. More clues. Male single vocalist - plays piano. It was in the charts in the USA for 5 months. He only really had two big hits (that I know of). More lines: He was born on a sum...

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?

Good bump. I tend to stay clear of the SB thread for at least a month because they are easy pickings (ha! - he says). I've only recorded one ranking distance so far this season in my all time SB/PB spreadsheet and it's for the 1000m @ 4:06.7 (against last season's SB at 3:51.5). Yes, I am THAT slow ...
