Dear All attending Madchester I am afraid i am unable to attend my mother has been allocated a warden controlled flat and this is,unfortunately, the weekend we are moving her. I get so little time to help mum, being in NZ that it would be remiss of me not to be there. I wish you all a super weekend....

Re: 2016 World Erg Challenge

I am dropping off posting in the Challenge in the next few days as I travel north in NZ in preparation for flying back to UK. I don't arrive until 16th April so unless I find a rower in Las Vegas. That's about it for me.

Re: 2016 weight loss thread

Thanks Zoot. It's helped by not having to work!! Eating well and healthy. Time to row. I am going into a flat patch now as I prepare to fly home to UK for the summer. Going through Las Vegas for a few days. Lost Wages and weight gain. Hard to be good there. Hoping that I don't succumb to much. Chris

Re: Madchester 2016 - is ON!

That's awesome Dave, thank you. Still sorting the basics... papers, $$$, phone, coverage at home & work. Next I'll try to pin dates to locations! So far -- a rowing pal in London might take me out on the Thames ( 8) 8) ) and Jack has a car racing friend to visit, east coast-ish. I think...

Re: The B's in Boston

Hi Anne really well done, that was a wonderful effort. Looking at your ID card for the race, it says your DOB is November 1949 and gives your age as 67, surely they have made you to old ? On that birth date you should be 66 or have i get it wrong. It does not detract from your fantastic result. :D :...

I too have just read this book. Superb, i could not put it down. I have been through the appendix and found this site where you can hear a couple of the crew, Bob Moch and Roger Morris speaking about the Olympic final. There arealso other newsreel type films of the crew in action. http://www.huskycr...

Re: Bill Wright

Thanks for that Chris and Alan. As Alan says, I can be found most days giving the Wattbike a sound thrashing (a la John Cleese in Fawlty Towers) and then I get on a crank out 20-30 klicks. The parts of the body that get a caning from rowing have finally let me down so I've had to switch disciplines...
