Yeah Paul, we getting fewer and fewer.
And my Arse feels a lot of "attrition" aswell. Wonna join the "fun" next year?
This was once more in the gym. 0.4s Pace slower again. Had to take a shortish drinking break.

Re: Tour d' Estonie
Little late restday Musing TdER2.jpg I did not feel well after the 1st Restday doing nought, so I did a 30' recovery row .. I have to say that I still feel the 31k from the day before. My weight is now on the lower side but stable around 103. And the Organisers are on time with their updates, which ...

Used Day 9 and 14 for the predictor but went out much faster, settled for positive splitting and ended with overall 1.2s faster pace \o/

Re: Tour d' Estonie
Target pace was not easy to predict and I started to strong. In the end I had to take 2 or 3 sips while HD and ended with 0.7s slower pace than I wanted to achieve. Done and dusted!

Re: Tour d' Estonie
Hmmm, Thought that would be an easy day after the rest but I got a slightly cramping leg after 2/3.
Started strong and finished with a target pace (from Day 7 and 8 ) -0.4s, happy with the result, not so happy with the row.- Mon Jul 10, 2017 7:27 am

Re: Tour d' Estonie
RESTDAY!!! Thoughts about the TdE. Is it worth it or even fun? As hard as expected or worse? As I wrote in the 1st post, I trained up to it and in the same time wanted to loose weight which is a bit risky. 8kg in 8 weeks isn't that much but if one loosed muscle instead of fat you obviously did it wr...

Re: Tour d' Estonie
Today the USB Logbook lost my row, good that I took the obligatory TDE picture before.
Tomorrow is the 1st rest-day so I pushed it a bit. Target-pace form days 7 and 8, -1s- Sat Jul 08, 2017 4:23 pm

Re: Tour d' Estonie
My 60' SB is worse than the HM, so 20.3k is a bit out of the predictor range.
That pace is 1.2s slower then the HM SB. That should give the predictor the right slope for the shorter pieces. (I hope)

Re: Wiggins 2020
I got a Video about Wiggins' switch to rowing on FB today, there it also said that he is doing the nationals in December, so I checked the Race calender again. In December are the British Indoors!

Re: Wiggins 2020
At the olymipics are only two LW boats left, IRC it is double sculls, one for Women and one for men.
100kg for 189cm is bit bulky for a rower.
Somehow this plan sounds like some sponsor spoof

Re: Tour d' Estonie
Thanks Paul!
Predicted pace (from days 3 and 4), did it 0.2 faster. The theme is repeating now, the start feels easy, the third third is painful but manageable. I guess that's how it should be.

Re: The Pete Plan
Pete Plan is perfect for the water rower, you always compare the result with your last round.
Oh, my fault! You are on a different PP, I was think on the 2k plan.
But with that plan it is the same but different

Re: Tour d' Estonie
Predicted pace (from day 2 pace and FM SB+2s Pace), did it 0.1 faster.
Actually I thought to do it slower and use up some of my lead on place 5, but the 1st half was really easy and in the end I dragged it home. No need to give a away advantage.- Thu Jul 06, 2017 12:42 pm

Re: Wiggins 2020
I'm sceptical, the change from boat to bike (like Hamish Bond) seems easier to me, and he is old as in "Greg Searle Old" who wrote a book about being old and reaching out again. In the article, they write that British rowers do their Nationals in December, that would be really late for Eur...

Re: Tour d' Estonie
Thank you Caratacus
Today I rowed in the gym and therefore allowed me a predicted pace (from days 1 and 4) + 1s, did it 0.2 faster again. Tomorrow looms the longest part 31.4 km.

3rd:
Same method for pace prediction, HM SB+2 as 1st point, result of the 1st day (26.2k) of the tour as 2nd point.
It was doable but I have to slow down.

2nd row of 21:
Reduced the SB+3s to a SB+2s in the pace predictor, that hurt a bit but was still doable.
