Re: Name that tune

Neil Young - After the Gold Rush. Two of the first albums I ever bought were Harvest and After the Gold Rush. It's good to hear from you Paul but it isn't After The Goldrush although having just read the song's lyrics, I can see why you made that choice. :) The song ( first released in 1971 ) is by...

Re: Name that tune

Thank you Steve, it was one of those rare occasions, when I recognised the lyric straightaway, which doesn't happen very often.

Earlier today, I heard this ( I hope ) very well known song.

Ok, I’ll bite… “Summer of 69” by Bryan Adams. Steve, did you hear the one about the man who was going around biting people? The police caught him mid bite. It was an open and shut case. Okay, I'll get my coat but before I go, you are of course, correct. =D> Can’t promise to keep the theme goi...

Re: Name that tune

Thank you Peter. :)

Yes, it can be tricky at times to come up with a song that we hope will be familiar, even if at first, the lyric evades our memory.

Still keeping to the theme:

Re: Name that tune

s alluded to above, I really wanted to post a song by this Canadian singer/songwriter, since he died at the beginning of May. We have had several of his songs in the past on this thread, which limited me to perhaps lesser-know ones. Peter, I'm wondering if this could be Gordon Lightfoot, as I read ...
