Re: October CTC - Actual Poll
Against better judgement, I've asked to join the faceborg group for CTCs so I can pass along the details of (since Fred is doing the heavy lifting of the CTC leaderboard): Title: "The Free Spirits’ Alzheimers Awareness - Treat Dementia With Dignity Row Celebrating The Many Sporting Achievements...

Re: Name that Film
That's okay Ian - I realised that you were not being silly with your " Bounty " comment. It did make me laugh though, hence my original reply which was intended to be silly but with hindsight, might have been misinterpreted as sarcasm. I laughed at myself [emoji6] Sent from my VTR-...

Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)
Following my 2km improvement, a step up in the plan's demands. Pace at ut1 now 2.02, and today was 3x 11 minutes. Pretty happy with how this turned out - felt quite calm throughout and the heart rate trace shows it was solid cardio. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180924/40405554e46381110398d5cea...

I had to re-type the Https at the lead of the address when following the link to get the secure site if that helps.

That's very gracious - promise I wasn't trying to be silly. I had a genuine blind spot....

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Excellent work Tako. You inspired a crack at my 2km time this morning. After a couple of weeks of the interactive plan, and evidence to suggest my 1km pace was improved on the basis of the irl result, I set the pace boat to 1.50 (a couple of tenths under pb) and clung on.... Only one yellow to go......

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019
Chloe Smith (recent entrant to CTCs, flwt) has just rowed a highly commendable 950m. I'll encourage her to join formally and we can balance teams.

Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)
Still plugging away at this, though the interruption of a house move encouraged me to start again (I was only a couple of weeks into the programme in any case). I have noticed (as others had mentioned) that I'm now significantly more comfortable at 20-23 s/m, which has significantly helped the longe...

Thanks all - the interactive plan is really helpful with general technique I'm finding, in addition to the general boost from hearing of everyone else's successes.

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?
Thanks Jon. On a bit of a roll this weekend. Christened the new erg location with an hour. Had a feeling I could improve a little, so set the pace boat to 2.03 and (with the aid of a sprint at the end) slithered under that mark. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180916/3147c1081551d106e2a5d99f72814...

Re: Erg cover
Well, if anyone fancied a cheap option:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074HYNF24/ ... NBbYZ57DJF
Cheap and looks pretty much tailor made for a model D once it's on. At £10 delivered, can't complain.

Not in Jon's league for improvement, but finally ducked under 40 minutes for 10km.

Thanks for the thoughts.
I've found a motorbike cover of broadly the right dimensions for £10, so I'm having a punt.

Team Guy: A rather messy, ill advised, spur of the moment attempt earlier.
Started off as a paddle (which lasted about 30s), then progressed to a negative split.

Re: Erg cover
When I was looking for a bbq cover this year, the "Webber" brand were extortionate, but I found a B&Q option (just as good in my opinion) for a fraction of the price. Just maybe their biggest one of those might fit ...? That was the direction of my thought process - motorbike covers a...

Erg cover
Hi all,
Following a house move, my workout location is shifting to the garage. It's reasonably weather proof, but I'm musing on merits of a cover. Clearly Concept 2 sell the bespoke/obvious option for £50, but has anyone tried or can recommend any other options?
Thanks in advance!
Ian
