Re: Injuries.....:(

Apologies for the lack of appearances on the forum recently but 6 weeks of a back issue followed by 3 weeks of chronic sciatica (leading to a 4 day stay in hospital last week to have MRI scans and X-Rays) means my season has gone into complete stasis. I'm still laid up on my back and can barely get ...

Re: Tell us about your Holiday plans

I went to Cancun for a 1 day cruise visit - so I can't help at all other than to recall is was VERY windy and I was holding part of the taxi together with my bare hands on the trip back to the ship...enjoy! ;-)

Re: November ctc - a simple 10k!

Well done Colin, good job ticking that one off.

I think this might be my first missed CTC in... (no idea). My back/hips/piriformis seems to be falling apart so 15 mins or so is my limit and I suffer for that the day after.

Re: The Lexicon of Indoor Rowing Terminology

I've just edited the OP to bring it a little bit more up to date (I saw that Captain Stan was still showing as team captain so I've installed Peter now). Also a couple of typos corrected and other updates. Just a little housekeeping really.

Re: Name that tune

I know this...but...gaah, can't pin it just yet.

Edit, 5 minutes of thinking and I think the next line is something like "I could never leave you for another" and it's high pitched- but I still can't get it. Ooh, hang on - Prince maybe...but the song...

I think that might be right (now I know the song and can add the words to it). Wolfie will confirm I'm sure.

Re: Name that tune

Well done Wolfie - correctamundo.

The cover of the song I alluded to was from a band called Leonid and Friends (I'd never heard of them prior to them popping up on my TikTok feed)

Time for a clue obviously - here's the first line:

It's been a bit quiet on the board recently. Maybe there will be a flurry of activity now you've kicked it back into life!

Appearing regularly (and watched each time because it's brilliant) is a covering of this song:

And we will live together
Until the twelfth of never
Our voices will ring forever, as one

Exactly what Wolfie said. 89 years young and 68kg light - you're an incredible inspiration to those younger and slower that think once you hit a certain age it all has to stop.

Congrats to you (and Collette) on your achievements.

Re: October CTC: 200m Sprint

I'm still having issues with my back but the osteo reckons it's not a disc issue, just a bad pull. That said, 3 weeks in, it's still sore all the time so the current chances of me putting in a competitive time on this one are slim to none. I can't remember when I last didn't do a CTC (I may have mis...

Re: Name that tune

This was doing my fruit so googled the clues and came up with what I'm sure is the solution. I know the song/chant but would never have got the artist (albeit this isn't the challenge) and would have seriously struggled getting the song name as well. For Peter, there's usually a collective sharp int...
