Re: September ctc - 2818m, standing start, free stroke rate
Well Max, I heard you :-) and here is a marker for you (for now ;-) ) 10:01.5 @ 1:46.7 Nice row Tako =D>. Normally you are faster at shorter distances and I am faster at longer ones so it will be an interesting month. The battle of the middle! That said, 4.5s under the patented Maclaren estimator [...

Well done to all early starters! For everyone else I recommend you do not follow my approach...
Step 1, Input your best 2k and 5k times in the Pace Predictor.
Step 2, Go
Step 3, Try it anyway and HD half way through .

Re: The Pete Plan
Iain, well done on your 2k SB.
8x500 today. Missed a start so had the benefit of a slightly longer rest period as I re-set the monitor. Average pace over the 8 was the same as last time at 1.39.0.

Re: Poll for October ctc
Hmm, I rather liked the original 2 x c2k then empty the tanks for the 400m then have to do it again for the final 200m. It's the way the speed builds massively over the last 2 intervals which appeals. Or at least should build

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Thanks to Jetson, my family's black Labrador when I was growing up, I thought it would be nice to have the dog days of summer black dog icon. But having been away for a week I needed to add some meters quickly so today's row was the hour of power / pain. PB of 15,361 which is an improvement of 60m. ...

That is awesome! But I really hope the diet goes well or else I have no hope of boat 2. HD'd today after interval 4 . Maybe one more attempt before the end of play.GuidonTheBee wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 2:18 pm Worst case scenario, I'll still have this to post as a hwt before the end of the month.

Re: Poll for October ctc
I like the idea of using the three 2k times as distances, what if we were to include her age as a distance 84 and her birthday 22/6. Using the 10 minutes however you like as the intervals between each challenge. Using the shorter distances between the larger. You may have to explain that a little f...

Re: Poll for October ctc
To help give Roger and Clare some more ideas and to build on Wolfie's suggestion I was wondering if linking the distances to Gillian's 3 British 2k records would be appropriate. So Gillian's times of 8:52.6, 8:51.8 and 9.01.0 could turn into 852m, 851m and 901m as part of the challenge. I also saw t...

...and a tantalising target for next time. I know you are trying to increase your 30mins distance but do you try and better every steady / hard session you do? Yesterday was 8k @ 1:56.9 and today was the 250m pyramid. Pleased to say it was 0.3s pace faster than last time @ 1:41.7 8). The last 250m ...
