Re: old erg vs. new erg - your experience regarding PM readings ?

As promised, a brief summary. I've had the new erg for almost 11 months now. According to my subjective assessment - and here I am talking exclusively about a feeling around LT1 - I have to say that the new erg, in which everything is still very stiff and firm, gives me minimally better times on LT1...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

"Just row" Just the next one. At work on a static. My newest static. I guess I will write a small summary in the topic old vs. new erg. This was a very lucky long+ hour 1:17. It was the last official cycling badge to grab with/for...my rowing profile. It was Achterbahn in Innsbruck. Since ...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Mat, your heartrate is even lower than mine these days, congrats to your stroke discipline, both of you, Mat and Kevin. =D> Ian, that "dangerous" in your app is amazing. Sorry, that's a bit weird. In a normal state, physiological attempt for a workout, there is no dangerous, just a quit if...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

There is some great training going on here. After a recovery week followed by a few days with a cold, I hope to jump back on the training wagon. Most of all, congratulations to you, Mat, for unlocking the most interesting bike in the entire universe: the Tron bike. ^O^ =D> :!: Don't call it a concep...

Re: CTC - Carole McNally Challenge

Many thanks to the whole team. You all put a great effort in. I was also surprised when I got the prompt to row a ctc again. It must have been because this is a memorial row. From our perspective, it is sometimes hard to accept when some people pass away too soon. Compassion is the essence of transi...

Re: CTC - Carole McNally Challenge

Coach said, "Let's do the Carole Challenge," and I did. It was the first time trial in a while. We did this kind of time trials a lot a year ago. Now it's nice to do of one them again (we were pretty close to each other, in terms of who finished the own tt first). There was also a route ba...

The Renton Challenge

Me: Whats the plan for today. What will be our training ? My friend: We are gonna do the Renton Challenge ! Me: WTF is this ? The Renton Challenge ? My friend: as usual, I already decided how to do it, listen: Choose a meetup Choose a friend (who won't show up) Choose Innsbruck Lutscher CCW Choose a...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Hello, to all the busy training bees here, congratulations - I have not been lazy the last few weeks. Many just rows. Ahhh wait, me and my friend developed our own challenge. Check out my activities for the #RentonChallenge on Strava. I thought I'd do a post in the fairy tale section because it is w...

Re: The Pete Plan etc

The Pete Plan thread. A well done for all for the consistent training. So one can argue if my workout belongs here or not - since it is a bit modified and was just a just row. But I like to share this picture - from what Pete Plan workout is it adapted or adopted ? Augmentation 25-30% - still away f...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Even aimed at a lower pace than just before hol, I found it understandably tough. Deciding that discretion was the greater part of valour, I stopped after the 3rd interval, picked up my sheet of rehab exercises and exercise bands and got down on the floor to get the hip working  Sometimes a...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Very good HM Ian ! Congratulations again on the PB ! Am still impressed about the red circles, Jon ! Does anyone know the Rapha Festive 500 challenge ? Never participated in it. I just prefer to sit on our rowing machine than on a bike when it comes to indoor training. But a friend of mine wanted to...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

My condolences, Ron - and congratulations on your best performance at the HM distance! I hope you are all doing well. You did a great job in the Holiday Challenge. I'm happy with my 300k result - the last two years it was even more - but sometimes you have to take a step back and take things a littl...

Peter: great, really nice OTW units! I miss that real rowing, for all my love of indoor sports, with OTW you have that magical connection to the water. Ian: excellent rowing sessions, also saw at least one Ronestad (Tabata) session, let's see when I do something like that again! Mat: those 4x 10min ...

You are really fit at the moment - even if the heart rate alone does not allow a valid statement - I think I can see a certain tendency towards "high fitness". 1:55 pace, rate 20, avg HR 134 - these numbers speak for themselves Mat! Congrats ! I was running again - again in the Hessenreuth...

Fairy Tales

Hello, as already mentioned I like fantasy stories. For example, the story in which there is a gray wizard, note my signature. This link leads to my own fairy tale. I already mentioned here that the one marathon was the most emotional time trial I did.

It was only an uncertain yes...you can row...but maybe you keep it slowly, not really a release after xray of my...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

A week of seminar in Mayrhofen is over, the time has passed far too quickly. Unfortunately without a bike this time. A few hikes, some of them quite steep. A bit of meditation. Lots of food and a few convivial beers.
