Paul S - great effort on the 30 min =D> My PB is very recent but will not last too long against your onslaught, methinks   As far as the 60 min goes,I agree with Big Wave in that you must negative split as you really need to still feel fresh after 30 min - I think I did a 2:03/1:57 split fo...

I myself am shooting to break Paul Gould's PB of 15077
I am starting to get this feeling of paranoia
Good luck Paul and the rest of the family - BTW my PB is 15085 not 15077 :)

Well done Stephanys - great improvements - starting to feel Paul breathing down my neck

Got a 60 min PB tonight before row class - 15085m which is a 77m improvement - was very encouraged as it was not flat out with still having a full class to do, however it was still pretty tough.

Hi Paul G, Interesting question there - Last year I did quite a bit of distance but at a very low intensity and found myself losing no weight. This season I have done really long rows less often, done a lot of intervals and increased the intensity of each session and I have dropped 5-10kg, and proba...

Nice one Petr!!

Like Kirby I cannot imagine getting that sort of power at such a low SPM(and I am a good 15kg heavier than you!).
FS really does have some top-class skinnies. :D

Well done Richard and Paul S. Tried a MaxDev special tonight before the row class(multiple PB's in one row) - passed 6k in 22:55 to trim 6 secs off my PB and went on to record 7869m for the 30 mins(122m improvement) - very pleased to get under 23 min for 6k but think I can take 15 secs or so more do...

Well done to both Paul V and Stan for gutsing? it out on the challenge even when you aren't feeling at your best - just finishing it is a great effort.

Well done Petr and Kirby - you are both pulling some incredible times =D> =D> Stan - thanks for the kind words and encouragement - as for finding someone else to "pick on", I had always been taught to pick on someone my own size and you were the closest to fitting the bill there :D Paul G

Did an erg class this morning and the first piece was a mile(the next PB l was planning to challenge) - took 12 secs off my previous(down to 5:34) and think I can get under 5:30 next attempt so very pleased - just hope my form holds until SAIRC!

Thanks Stan - I think that if I try to go at an even 2:00- 2:01 pace then I might get under 85 min(he says hopefully!) - I just need to do a warm-up first - I am a real slow starter.

Great improvement - Richard =D> - you need to have a look at your 30 min(another PB is there for the taking. An unexpected PB tonight in the HM - after a quickish(for me) 1hr this morning I thought I would go for a steady HM this evening - first 5k at 2:12 pace, halfway down to 2:08 and felt strong ...

Hi Paul - good to see you back posting again.. 1 years history is hardly enough to start predicting trends now, is it? :D Seeing as how I am not very good at planning my training, I wouldn't want to hazard a guess as to what I will be doing in December - like last year I will be happy finishing in t...

Thanks J-R I am sure you will catch up with me soon - am planning to do shorter, faster stuff to prepare for SAIRC in September. My distances are also largely dictated by what sport is on the telly - during July it was the Tour with long daily sessions of viewing/rowing - next month it is the rugby W...

J-R - it may sound silly but it might have something to do with the environment - I find the gym far more conducive to pushing myself hard - often at home it is too comfortable, too many distractions and if you aren't having a great session you can tend to just give up and try again later. As far as...

Well done Maude - 37 SPM sounds about right to me for that distance. Got a 10k PB tonight before the rowing class - took off 35 secs - original plan was sub-40 but felt strong the whole way and picked up the pace to get sub-39(38:46) - first 5k in 19:40 , second 5k in 19:06 - averaged 30 SPM which I...

Thanks for the kind words J-R. Unfortunately that sort of incident is all too common and the common response is that they were "lucky" that it wasn't worse, is just not acceptable to me - I fear that this country will eventually go the same route as Zimbabwe and we aren't going to hang aro...
