Re: 60 mins for Groundhog Day

Huh... as I recall, poor Bill Murray got stuck repeating groundhog day till he got it right.

Despite the risk, I signed up.

Re: Trying out a West Coast (U.S.) row

My computer is older than your laptop, however it was my son's previous gaming tower. So it is a big noisy tank with a maxed-out graphics card that can't handle the stuff he runs these days. I tried a 30 min online row today & it shows full 3d rowpro just fine. Yay! Saw other boats this time and...

Re: Trying out a West Coast (U.S.) row

Good chance of it... she sent me a link to v3.016. I had installed/purchased v2.302. I've launched the new one, but haven't tried rowing online yet. The water in the upgrade is lovely and I'm pleased they didn't add motorboat wakes. :) So look for a session called WestCoast_60min. Los Angeles (U.S.A...

Re: Trying out a West Coast (U.S.) row

Zoot do you have a preference for the next Tuesday row? 30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hour?

Happy to go along with whatever works for your training plan.

Thanks for the fun, fun row. Must do again. Maybe next Tuesday? Pam is sending me a thing to troubleshoot why I didn't see boats after the start.

Re: Trying out a West Coast (U.S.) row

Pam says they do take the server offline for 20-30 mins. It's not a problem to schedule up to that window, it's just we will want to sign off after the 30 minutes and complete any other rowing or cooldown offline. Shutdown is not automatic, they wait till people are off. So, should be fine but I wou...

Re: Trying out a West Coast (U.S.) row

OK, I will check with her. I decided to only book it for 30 minutes... because of the server thing... and because it's a first. I'm hoping you see it in the session list. It's called WestCoast_easy30. And if it's just me out there, no problem. I'll enjoy the digital scenery.

Trying out a West Coast (U.S.) row

Pretty sure it's obvious I am new at this, but anyway I'm going to row for 60 minutes starting at Tuesday, 5:30 pacific, which appears to be Wednesday 01:30 UTC. UTC Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 01:30:00 Los Angeles (U.S.A. - California) Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 5:30:00 PM UTC-8 hours PST What...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Hi all - thanks for the notes on the newbie thread from Huw, Mat, Stan, Mikkel, Zoot, Doc, Plummy, Andy, Jason, Colin, and Paul. Great info. This was a holiday weekend and a hot one too. At my place it was like rowing in a sauna. Only sweated out 10,200M... in part because I put in about 26km on the...

Re: WELCOME to New Members

Hi all - this is Barbara. I've been erging along with you for a couple weeks now, so I need to say 'hello from California!' I joined the January challenge with a couple goals in mind. First is to have logged at least 5k per day -- avg -- by the end of January. (A lot for me.) Second is to see how &a...
